Nanny Drama:How Would You Handle This Scenario

I think Nanny cams are necessary if someone else is going to be
taking care of your baby while you are away. Call me paranoid,
but I find it hillarious when people lock up their rooms to stop
their nannies from gaining access, while you are okay with
leaving them to cater for your priceless child.
I overheard a female colleague bitterly complaining to her
husband over the phone about their Day Nanny.
According to her, the Nanny resumes at 7am and closes at 7pm.
Her sole duty is to take care of the baby, no house chore
       included.
My Colleague breezed in one afternoon from work to pick up a
folder she forgot at home, and behold Nanny and baby were
       nowhere in sight!
she went livid, called and Nanny was not taking her calls, and
to make things worse, it was a rainy day in Lagos.
Nanny had to visit a relative (not an emergency), and she
strapped the baby behind her, without the parent's consent, took
public transportation in crazyville Lagos and they came home
       soaking wet.
What would you do if you were my colleague?
It was not my baby being discussed, but I had long fired and
       arrested her in my head.

I can only imagine what the lady must have been through while
she waited for her Nanny to return with her child. I tell you,
if that Nanny were mine, I definitely would have fired her on
       the spot >:(
I have a Nanny but I made sure my mother-in-law shows up
unannounced now and again when I'm at work. Hopefully, that will
put the Nanny in check. But seriously, these people are just
       necessary evil.
