       RT11 - Question 4 - Bucks Record
   DIR By: Tim Wray

What will the Bucks record be by the end of the 2017-18 season
and how will they have arrived at that point? Will the team look
closer or further away from their ultimate goals?

At 47.5, sign me up for the under market!! I give us almost no
chance at going 48+ wins, unless everything goes right (as in,
Jabari comes back healthy, Giannis is an MVP candidate and all
       our role players fire).
As it is, I believe Giannis will carry this side to around 45
wins, which in this conference, should be good enough for 5th
seed and if my calculations are correct, another 1st round
       against the Raptors.
There will still be questions in the offseason about how we can
help Giannis however. Also, upcoming Jabari RFA scares the s***
       out of me.

       45 wins minimum.
       50 wins max.

49-33. The Bucks end up just one win short of the prestigious
50-win club but still reach out the Vegas over. The season
includes a 9-game win streak where the defense seems to have
turned the corner only to regress later in the season.

47-35. I think they'll be closer to the end goal in obvious
ways, but will arguably have more difficult questions than ever
to ask in order to kick on and close the gap that will still
       remain.
Even if the Bucks' season goes like a dream and they win 50
games en route to reaching the Conference Finals, the summer
won't provide easy paths to improving. The primary focus could
be trying to bring back Jabari Parker and Greg Monroe, and those
two things would come at a cost.
It's probably very Bucks of me to go from making a positive
statement to discussing the problems a good year would still
create, but bridging the gap between being a good team to a
great team is not a straightforward, linear progression.

50-32. If the Bucks manage to consistently play at the level
they should be , I can see this team winning 50 games. Over the
past two seasons, Milwaukee has been plagued by having very
up-and-down seasons, which has cost them countless games.
In an weak Eastern Conference, especially in the Central
Division, the Bucks will have a lot of games where they can
easily win without too much effort. Even the top teams of
Cleveland and Boston will take time to adjust to their
drastically overhauled rosters, and the Bucks can pounce on some
       crucial early season wins.
Jason Terry said at media day that the team has a goal of 50
wins, and with the group mentality this team is taking on, there
is a good chance it can happen.

Being the cautious fan that I am, I'm going with 45 wins for the
       Bucks this year.
There's obviously many indirect factors for why the Bucks could
clear that, but as their lack of movement in the offseason
proves, it's all about the internal growth the team will show
this year. Giannis makes everything go round for the Bucks, so
to speak, but can anyone be in the same stratosphere as him?
Could that be Khris Middleton garnering All-Star consideration
or both Malcolm Brogdon and Thon Maker showing the same growth
as they did during their special rookie campaigns? Do I have
answers for these questions? No, no I do not, at least not yet.
So much of what the Bucks have built is based on becoming the
championship-caliber team they have long aspired to be. With the
East as weak as it has ever been, it's time for the Bucks to
       start realizing that potential.
