Inland cruising anyone!!

Yikes - this inland passage seems to call for some very fair
wind angles and a lot of nav cards. If we had to set off today
- getting through some of the narrow with this sail profile
would be near impossible. I wonder if they will bring back the
rowing option!!
best

Crikey! Going to cost a fortune in nav cards, or loss of sleep
hand-steering through the narrows. Hope the wind isn’t against
us.

I'm in, but sorry I am going spend some brass, It's not normally
not in Crikey Bobs rules but given the navigation issue's and
the need to get there before i go on holly bobs and also wishing
to sleep I feel I have little choice :P

Sensible decision! Everyone will no doubt enjoy the sight of IG
bouncing from one shore to another, and collecting lots Hairy
Trophy points. Good luck all.

I'm going with Foresail, flying jib and hull polish.... and
hopefully no crashing into the sides of the Magellan Straights!

Having a look, I think it may be worth a punt to sail around the
bottom !!

Ok, had a look and I think going around could be a good call but
given i have purchased all the toys, I'm going through the slot,
but I really think somebody should give it a go :) hero or zero,
nothing ventured nothing gain, if you don't try you will never
know, believe and you will succeed, oh sod it I'm always down
the tubes anyway what have I to loose :)

I remember another Transat race, I think from Guadeloupe, where
the finish was somewhere north Europe. The suggested line
clearly showed the route up the English Channel but there was no
buoy. Some decided to go round the top of Scotland and were
penalised. It caused a lot of angst, I fear this may be the
same - there is no marker to say you have to use the channel,
but jamais avez confiance avec les francais!

Interesting idea, which I hadn’t considered. Would certainly
save a good deal of navigator angst, and probably not much
longer to sail. Hmmm...will think about it.
