And so we drift on...Big weather change coming in the next 24
hours as the wind goes southerly might liven things up.

Slow and painful. A good start but B9 just can't seem to close
on the leaders. Does anyone know how the studded sails are
working out? - I would have thought the wind was too light, most
of the time, for them to make an effect (they have the same
effect as foils?).

There could be a chance for B9 if the wind gods favour him, CB
will have to tack away from the shore soon and if the wind backs
it could favour those behind considerably

Looks like I'll have to tack away as well. In fact I'll put in
a couple of tacks, I don't think it'll get me any closer to the
leaders, but a good fleet position. I think the wind shift will
help everyone to the south and west, which I think is all of us
on this forum. Team members North and East will suffer.

Crew of IG ready at hands to braces to tack in the next hour or
so, then take a nice lift (hopefully) into the coast. Well,
it's a plan.
I'd assumed the stun'sails were deployed for light downwind
sailing, so should have earned their keep in this race (until
now!).

Just had a go at putting in Waypoints! I'm sure there are easier
ways of doing it. The first point changes your direction and ZR
zooms you in, so I had to zoom back out to place the point - and
then back in to get it super-accurate. Anyway lots of view
changes and positioning. Also I wanted to minimise the number
of way points since each is a change of direction and a "course
change" penalty. A lot of faff, but hopefully mean that I won't
go aground as I round the headland!
There are 3 tiny islands off the first headland and I'm sure
some will opt to go inside, or between these. But the space
looked tight so I've stayed outside all 3.
The estuary up to Buenos Aires looks tight for tacking up in
these Caravelles, I hope the wind direction is favourable by the
time we get there!
LK seems to be doing well but Emma has gone silent, hope you're
OK.
