Today's taken an awful lot of time with constant course
adjustments to deal with this front that's just come through. I
suspect Em's work commitments will be making the sailing life a
tad impossible at the mo. But at least you're still heading in
the right direction unlike others I've seen. Looks like you'll
be well out of that hole in a few hours.

I see JB's launched a challenge ...
Q: for you all, there's a grey boat with a path/track laid out
in arrows ... is this the "Ghost" you talked about in your JV
thread? Is this the best finisher to date?
I'd assumed your "Ghost" was your track from your first attempt.
I can't see anything in VR "help" (clearly a misnomer) ... any
clues anyone?
edit: When I click on the grey boat it shows 137.5NM. When I
search for the boat (name) nada. 137.5NM looks to be the
distance separating our boats as opposed to DTF ... so what
would be the point of that? It's different weather so not a
valid comparison. The only comparison that would be useful is
DTF.

Carl, not doing the record attempt, but it sounds the same as
the JV. the ghost you see is the best to date and numbers are
the distance to/from that boat. Meaningless if it's lateral
distance not DTF as you say. If you have a second attempt then
your previous best time will also show up as a ghost - so you'll
have two ghosts.

Thanks B9, ... it was sort of where my guessing was but my
practical/logical mind said "WTF, this can't be possible! Who on
earth would even think this was useful?" when in all likelihood
they've left in a completely different weather window? etc etc
These VR guys are muppets, clearly have never been out on the
open water in their lives. Bunch of software devs completely out
of touch with reality! ... need I go on? ... because I could!
