Out of interest as I've been doing these reports for a number of
years now - I cannot remember a single leg ever taking 32days
before..

I admit that I'm looking forward to the VSR rankings being
updated ref: final comment).
I suspect Crickey Bobs will set a new record for the most VSR
points earned in a single race! My current spreadsheet model
suggests, on this race alone, CB should be ranked at 4,883
against his current ranking of 2,646.
JB's only 3 points behind me but 15 hours? and a thousand places
ahead in this race, so the comparison of points awarded will be
interesting. I've calc'd that JB needs to beat 4530th place to
break-even or better. I thinks it's odds on he'll just squeeze
in by about 3,500 places +/- ...
See what this race has done! Insanity now rules the decks!

I think Carl has gone stir crazy while waiting for this leg to
end. But it's good to know someone has got a handle on how the
VSR points work. Meanwhile B9 is down below 2 knot boat speed.
I have to admit to not logging on for a couple of hours, only to
find myself going almost dead downwind in not more than a
zepher. Not only is it 32 days, but the smallest inattention is
penalised (as it should be). We should all get medals for
endurance!
This leg was estimated at 30 days. Leg 4 looks like it should
be a belter, at an approximated 40 days
I'm having a personal battle with Topolino. (Now that I've
stopped chasing "Your Mom SA"). I'm not sure that they know my
position, but they've been just behind me for weeks now. With a
nice green paint job, I'm sure that Topolino has Full Options,
but I hope to keep her behind me for the last few hours of this
race. Tricky over-night last night with the wind swinging.
What was a gybe to set me well clear of the point, was reversed
by more wind shifts. Tonight it looks like I'll have to
negotiate the entrance to Rio at about 2:30 am. I'm sure
everyone is struggling with changing forecasts.
