So in the last 24hrs IG has managed to edge away from HF
(according to VR maths!!) and meanwhile further west B9FUN has
pulled away from LK. In either case, a long way to go and
unlike the Clipper Leg 1, I cannot see an option or Card to
allow us to motor through the doldrums. I will have to start
working on that soon.

Decided to stick with the inshore route for a while. The big
decision remains when to head further west. LK and B9 looking
good out there.

Is it me or are the winds in both of our sailing area's a little
non-standard at the moment?

I'm not sure whether this persistent N/NE wind is normal right
across such a large area - I'd expected things to get a bit
light and variable by now - but doubtless that will come in
spades when we reach the doldrums.
