Dubai to Muscat - Options

Hi All,
I'd already signed up for this last week and bought Light sails
and Polish. However I might be starting blind - literally! I
have a 9:15am appointment at Moorfields Eye hospital, ... yep,
eye drops. So that and the fact that I'll have to use my phone
instead of the PC ... well that's my excuse for a poor start!
(and I think it's a good one ::) :P )

Hello Carl
I trust all is OK with your eyes and you are back in front of
your hi def pc screen navigating your way up the Emerati
coastline at the head of the fleet.
Light and Reaching for me.
Is anyone else having issues with the VR websiter? Other Boats’
positions are not updating and JB is all alone out front
although ranked around 3000th according to the podium steps
counter on the top left corner of the screen.
Good luck all, looks like foils might come in handy on te run
down not Muscat

Yes I'm also having major problems with with the VR website.
Can't see the rankings at all incl the podium steps method.
Last saw a working site when I logged in around 2:20pm. I was
ranked 819 at the login screen, 7 hundred something when it
opened then a second later all other boats & numbers disappeared
??? I'm roughly between Abu Musa and the mainland in line with
Siri about where a 3rd island would be.
When I logged in I changed course to 110 ~. I was It looked ok,
but the tack hasn't stuck. My boat it now further positioned
along the original track. I've logged in several times, tacked,
the boats is shown to have tacked, but when I log in 30 mins
later and it's back on the original track! When I originally
tacked I was an hour from the coast, now I'm 3 hours! Hmmm.
(update: it got up to 6 hours away)
Keep getting the Message Pop up "... some features have been
temporarily disabled". ... It's more than some features. While
writing this, I've tacked twice but again, it's changed back to
25. Still on-going.
Eyes: It was just a routine scan of the retina (T1 diabetic), no
change, so all's good.

Just a routine check Em. I had a problem a few years back, sort
of Glaucoma but reversed. I had peripheral vision just not the
middle area. Treatment? wait and see, it might get better, not
much we can do. It did, and it hasn't returned. The problem
was the eye drops which means you can't see. I had a look before
the start and just set the course to 10 degrees.
I expect to finish the race around 1am, I dare say we'll be
finished by late afternoon tomorrow. Is it worth even worrying
about a report especially since the technical issues yesterday
afternoon might have messed a few people up.

I'm in 994th? 1:30am ... Rankings were all over the place.
Software devs should be replaced. Why does the ranking change
when you click on the podium or 3d view etc ? Pretty rubbish
bit of coding.
Oh well best of luck to all ... bed time.
