Great race Roland, many thanks - my light sails just tipped the
       scales in my favour.
Rob (IG) should be in soon and Mike tomorrow.
Then we can all start singing "New York, New York".

How close was that!? Great results for both of you, and well
done, Em, for just pipping Roland at the post. A good race to
watch. Although one of the shorter legs, it's been a
challenging one to find the quickest way downwind through the
many changes of wind direction. If only IG hadn't run
       aground.....
We've just crossed the Atlantic, so know the way not to go,
       don't we?

the right way to cross the Atlantic errr . . . will probably
try a different route to my last attempt, rofl

A great race Em. I know you had a better routing at the end as
well as some sails. Well done.
I'm afraid it's not the way to end the series, but I think
that's the end of the Clipper for me. And Volvo is also wrapping
up. What's the next big race/series? I can't wait to sail with
the Gadget, Lockkeeper, HF and the occasional Dizzy, Penguin
       again.
Volvo and Clipper are not back 'til 2019
       The fabulous Vendee in 2020
       How was the Monaco series?

Sorry you're having to leave us, Roland. I've valued the
excellent competition that you have always provided, and enjoyed
sharing thoughts with you on this forum. It's been a pleasure
sailing with you round the world again, and I hope we can repeat
       the experience.
       Best wishes
       Rob

Great racing with you - I'm trying to find out what other series
       will be coming up.
I will keep the forum up to date and let you all know what I'm
       sailing.
""The Monaco Globe Series will start on Sunday (3rd June). This
event is the first in the new IMOCA Globe Series world
championship, which is the result of a shared desire and a lot
of work done over the past few months, spearheaded by the IMOCA
Class and the organisers, OC Sport and the Saem Vendée.
This is in fact the first time that the IMOCA class has joined
up with race organisers to manage and jointly run the new class
world championship. Six iconic ocean races (solo and
double-handed) feature in the 2018-2021 calendar, with the
possibility of an additional event being added in the spring of
2019. The cycle will of course come to a climax with the
2020-2021 Vendée Globe, at the end of which the IMOCA Globe
Series world championship title will be awarded."" Two major
       races per year.
The Monaco was quite a short race, 3 days and I missed you guys.
