Tricky few hours ahead as we pass between Cuba and Haiti, with
the wind heading and falling light. With no cards it looks like
a busy night ahead,
I see the smart move is to hug the Haiti coast to get on the
right side of the big shift coming. I've left that a bit late -
am away from home and relying on patchy iPhone access, so
getting through this channel without running aground is going to
be a challenge!

I think I'm going to aim almost due North, leaving San Salvador
Island to my Starboard. That should get us in a position to get
into the wind pattern around the High Pressure to the North of
us. I was very lucky with the timing past Cuba/Haiti :)

My overnight two tack strategy hasn't really paid off as I
watched LK and B9 slip through to leeward without tacking (and
loss of sleep!) - good going. It's all about getting into the
SE trades now as fast as poss - but how?!
