VR Club House

Emma,
While I've really enjoyed your Forum. Could we create a VR Club
House for Brit Pack which may encourage other Brit "Non Zezo"
players to join? The more the merrier I say.
I can't see a clubhouse dedicated to Brit "Non Zezo" players and
I know that there are many of us. Of course it helps that VR
have posted the Club House rules only in French, but by the
power of Google translate, here they are in English (sort of).
Only Headline for each topic as space is limited.
Club House Rules
Welcome to the Virtual Regatta Club House!
Here you can chat with other players and share inshore and
offshore gaming tips with them, or discuss other aspects of
Virtual Regatta games and nautical news. The Club House only
makes sense if everyone is courteous and friendly, so we ask you
to respect and be friendly with all Club House attendees.
The rules of conduct below indicate what behavior you should
adopt, but also what you can expect from other members of the
community. These rules of conduct are not exhaustive, they can
not define all forms of aggressive behavior. As a result, Club
House teams may sanction inappropriate behavior at any time. In
addition, a temporary or permanent suspension of your access to
a game will automatically be reflected on your Club House
access.
Indeed, access to Club House is a "privilege" and in no way a
"right". In accordance with the terms of the GTU, Virtual
Regatta reserves the right to hide, edit publications, or to
suspend at any time your access to the Club House or the website
www.virtualregatta.com if you do not respect these rules of
conduct on the Club House, but other reasons may apply.
We reserve the right to evaluate each incident on a case-by-case
basis. The measures taken may be more or less severe than those
listed in the categories below and do not require advance
warning:
The Rules then cite specific rules for violations (I don't think
any of these should bother us!) such as:
Racial / Ethnic
Exchange of account, - This category includes messages to
promote the sale or exchange of an account, or indicating that
you are looking to buy an account or boats:
· Messages on the third-party forums
· Links to eBay or other online commerce sites
· Indicate that you wish to exchange something and indicate your
contact information
Sexuality / Violence
Threats in real life
Distribution of personal information
Sexual orientation
Publications of cheats, hacks, Trojan horses or dangerous
programs
Impersonation of a Virtual Regatta representative
Game content release not available yet / hacking databases
Obscene / Vulgar
Inappropriate language
Harassment or defamation
Religions or religious personalities
Nationality
Drugs or illegal activities
Spam or Troll
Multiplication of identical subjects
Forwarding to other topics with links
Publicity
Litigation and claims
Discussing sanctions applied to an account
Workaround a suspension
IMPORTANT
· The repeated violation of the Club House Terms of Use or Code
of Conduct, as well as the rules detailed above, will result in
the permanent suspension of the Club House or the deletion of
user accounts.
· This regulation applies to all languages. Any form of behavior
violating these rules will be punished, whether inappropriate in
French or in another language.
We want Virtual Regatta and its Club House to remain a fun and
enjoyable place.
When you play Virtual Regatta games or post messages about the
Club House, you meet thousands of other players from different
backgrounds and backgrounds. Even if some images or words do not
seem inappropriate to you, they may hurt or have a different
meaning for another person.
We have done our best so that you can enjoy an ideal
environment.
Now, it's your turn to play !

Britpack VR Club House

Hi Roland,
Nice idea - at first glance, I can see options:
[li]A club house sections within our existing Britpack Site[/li]
[li]A new dedicated site [/li]
The later increases the admin but only minor, so whichever
option you think is best. Also, what initial sections do we need
- I’ve never looked at club house site [emoji33]
Cheers Em

If we expect the clubhouse to have a few sections - probably a
separate site may be best.

I just thought - start a clubhouse in VR and see how good it is.
We may decide that it's no good and abandon as so many others
appear to have done. Or it may be better and abandon this forum
(unless you are particularly attached to it).
I don't think it makes sense to run both for any amount of time.

Hi Roland
Hum - finally managed to get into the VR Club House, including
changing my password on a non-secure webpage -very bad!!
My french is poor - although my plan is to become more fluent by
next summer.
I can see two choices:
[li] Go ahead and use the VR one - not sure how - would need to
leave that to you or someone else[/li]
[li] OR I will create a new Britpack Club House independent of
VR - its free, if it does not workout, I will bin it[/li]
I agree "the more the merrier" and would like to include
skippers from any virtual sailing game
Cheers
Emma
