I think we are all now ahead of the JD1 lead ghost. That's got
to be worth celebrating! I know there's a long way to go but to
have got half way round the world and beating the current record
time,.. Well done us!
Rats as I said that we have a new lead ghost and it's way ahead.
Ah well. I think the lead times will change again, Seahog and
LIZOE-CVP are in the last few hundred miles of a great run.

Evening Skippers , been fun sailing with you all !
You may have noticed a small blip in Domeboy’s progress back on
day 14 ........alas the perils of a sleepy last check in bed
with a digit on the compass ........ugh !
Thankfully managed to catch up a little but here we are now with
a big conundrum as progress stalls slightly.
I see I’m in good company with LK7 and IG .... my sense is to
head south .....
Really enjoyed reading the tactical posts and learning all the
time ....!
Just checked out Phil Destroy ghost progress..... wow .....
german engineering clearly .....
Fair winds to all
John

Oh dear! We've seriously lost the plot on IG - you will have
noticed an unintentional dart to the north-west last night as we
got caught in the old TWA trick. And our nav has now changed
his mind and has concluded that the north-about route is a
loser, so we are joining the rush south - but with the wind now
on the nose it won't be fast for a while. Just nice to be in
such good company!

Oh Dear we've copied IG and headed in the wrong direction for a
while. the perils of touch screen mobile devices. Shame, but a
few hrs in the 40+ days is not the worst mistake I've made.
Phil had a much betted route through to this southern route.
Well sailed.

Ah but it's knowing when to just point it at 90 degrees! I'm
just so glad I didn't take the more obvious and stronger winds
northern route.
