I think I will give it a go.
Its a shame the Clipper round the world boats are not
particpating. The Clipper boats are now around the SW corner of
Australia, south of Perth. 8 boats started 3 days ago and the
remaining 4 boats, 1 day ago, I think. I am not sure why, but
the tail enders from previous race hardly arrived in time, even
using their engines for the last several hundred miles. I guess
they needed extra time for repairs and preparations. They are
now off direct to Whitsundays, somewhere around Brisbane.
Regarding Sydney Hobart, the critical points to watch are the
turn just after the start and the turn in at the finish.
