Umikimono
Height: 98 meters
Weight: 120,000 metric tons
Gender: Female
Umikimono is a giant prehistoric creature that has survived for
millions of years living in the ocean depths and preying on
unsuspecting victims who sail the seas. Few of her species have
survived and over the years they have gone by many names: the
Kraken, Leviathan, Hydra, and known as Umikimono. But like in
the stories mankind was able to kill the monsters by unknown
means to the point of near extinction. The last male died of
natural causes leaving only one female and her unborn babies.
However an oil spill caused by humans of the coast of Japan
engulfed her eggs killing the babies inside while Umikimono
survived because of her massive size. Outraged by the loss of
her children and now the only one left of her kind with no
chance of reproducing Umikimono swore vengeance on humans. Japan
was the first to feel her wraith and is where she got her name.
Her weight hinders her mobility on land while in the sea she is
an adaptive swimmer. She uses her mass to deliver crushing blows
at close range while her tentacles that come out of her mouth
deliver faster, lighter attacks from a distance as well as to
strangle or ensnare her victims. She also has a special gland
that stores seawater which she can release from her many mouths
in a high pressured stream of water that is so powerful it could
rip flesh from bone.

I was able to view Umikimono's art on DeviantArt only, and it
looks very unique! Just to confirm: those 4 tubes/tentacles
coming out of her mouth are tongues, or additional mouths? ???
