Abilities: Rak'Sha relies on her large, blade-like claws for
combat, though she can also headbutt, bite, and kick foes. She
can coat her talons in Void energy and launch small crescents at
foes, or spit a small, piercing beam of Void energy from her
mouth.
Biography: Rak'Sha and her "sister" Da'Nava were two the
Void-Spawn who dreamt of conquering the realm the Deities had
created and turning it into a realm of eternal darkness and
living nightmares. Rak'Sha idolized her sister, who plotted to
conquer the world the Primordials had created and turn it into a
realm of eternal darkness. Their chance came when a group of
wicked Deities breached the barrier in search of the Black Stone
Coffin, the prison of the primordial Void-Spawn Ascha'Vovina,
seeking to harness the power of the Void to further a genocide
against their precursors, the Giants. Da'Nava and Rak'Sha
escaped the Void through the breach, but Da'Nava was taken
prisoner by a powerful tribe of Deities who wished to put an end
to the genocide. Rak'Sha was stranded in the Underworld, and by
the time she escaped the Gigantocide had ended and a civil war
between rival factions of the Deities had begun. Rak'Sha watched
the genesis of humanity and the rise of the Sidhe, a race of
demigods who ruled over them, but was more concerned with
hunting for her sister. When she finally found her beloved
sister, Rak'Sha discovered that Da'Nava had integrated herself
into the tribe of Deities who had captured her, with the intent
of overthrowing them from within. To this end, she had
instigated the civil war between the Deities and contributed to
their victory. She married the leader of the tribe, now called
the Ruling Pantheon. Having attained the power and authority she
sought as the Holy Empress, Da'Nava no longer sought to
overthrow or corrupt the Deities and viewed her sister as a
threat to her reign.
Enraged by this betrayal, Rak'Sha set out to locate the Black
Stone Coffin, intending to free Ascha'Vovina and use it to
slaughter not only the Deities but her treacherous sister. In
order to distract the Deities from her search, she presented
herself as a goddess to the Sidhe - who had been overthrown by
the humans - and offered them dark power in exchange for their
worship. Those who accepted her offer became known as the
"Unseelie", who declared war on the humans and "Seelie" Sidhe
who had allied with them. With the Deities thus distracted,
Rak'Sha continued her search for the Black Stone Coffin,
enlisting the aid of Ahriman, an evil Deity who sought to obtain
the power of the Void. However, Rak'Sha decided to take
Ascha'Vovina's power for herself. She searches for the Black
Stone Coffin, not caring who or what she has to kill in order to
fulfill her dark ambitions of power.
