       I found this AMA on Reddit from this dude who made his maxillary
       protraction device and tested it on monkeys.  Significant
       results were found after 4 months, after 1kg of applied force on
       the maxilla.  What if we simply strengthened the tongue to exert
       1kg and the muscles of mastication to exert 1 kg, to replicate
       the effects of this headgear?

       That you're young enough to just use proper tongue posture and
       force to get your ideal results without a device.
       But other than that, sure. It pulls up and forward. Don't go to
       quickly too soon and stop for a long break if you ever feel pain

       What you have posted is very interesting!
       It works but you have to wear the headgear for 18 hours a day if
       you are an adult.
