I have been mewing for almost 1 year now and the changes have be
       en very obvious

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Hey, Iīm new to this forum, but not to this topic. I have always
had a good long mandible and a wide dental palate, but my
maxilla was recessed compared to my mandible. I have always been
breathing through my nose as far as I can remember, but I think
my tongue was not resting properly at the roof. Not at the
bottom of the mouth either, but kind of somewhere in the middle
       if this makes sense.
I came across mewing ca 10 months ago, and I have rested my
tongue at the roof since. I have also pressed the tongue with
force against the palate throughout the day when I had nothing
else to do. It took me a while to get the oral posture right,
especially the back of the tongue up. I could notice changes
already after 2 months or so. One day when I woke up and touched
my upper face, I could feel bones that had become a lot more
       protruding.
I used to have dark circles under my eyes, but they are almost
completely gone now. Instead there are now bones where those
circles were. My under eye support have improved a lot! My
maxilla have been lifted up and come forward, Iīm 100% certain
that this is the case. It just feels good overall, I can breathe
with ease, and it feels like my athletic ability have improved
(not sure of this though) What I am sure of is that my singing
ability have improved. I can hit higher notes easier and the
resonance in my voice feels more fuller. My whole face has
shortened for sure. I even think my skull and forehead have
changed (yes, it sounds far stretched, but it feels like my
       forehead have also shortened)
Iīm glad I came across this topic 10 months ago. And I can say
with certainty that correct oral posture have moved my bones up
and forward. Iīm not claiming it will work for everyone, but it
sure worked on me. But keep in mind my mandible and chin was not
recessed at all, just my maxilla. I wish you all the best! There
is hope, even though the process might take some time. And I
think it will be more difficult for people that have a very
recessed mandible, but not impossible. You should try at least
to maintain correct oral posture, so at least your face wonīt
worsen. Best wishes to you all :)
I forgot to tell you, but maybe around month 4 of mewing. I got
what I heard someone call the duck face. In this phase the area
of the lips were protruding a lot. I dunno why, but maybe my
maxilla was so far down there and I have later pushed it up?
This lasted for almost a month or so, and its gone now. It feels
like my maxilla have been moving up and up the longer I have
been at it, and that the center is now more around the nose
area, not the lips. It was downward swung, but now itīs upwards
       swung, in other words.
Will post some pics in next post :)

I donīt have any good side profile pics of me before I started
mewing, I know. I didnīt think it would work so I didnīt take
any good pics. But I will post some anyway. Not the best angles,
and angles makes a big difference when taking pics. Better than
       no pics at all though.
       Before mewing:

(ops, I posted this one twice, this was
before mewing. My face was longer back then)
I know these pics are quite useless, because of all the
different angles, but itīs the best Iīve got lol.
My nose donīt look as big from the side view as it did before,
it also have become shorter or more up turnt.

I was writing a long reply, turns out during the process I have
gotten distracted and discarded it(that before you posted the
pics). I cant notice the exact difference, but feel that there
is some present. Sadly, your haircut plays such a huge role in
the change, that it alone has made much more difference compared
to what the mewing has made and fades everything in comparison,
so the result is that I cant notice the exact changes. :D

Yeah, itīs difficult to see any changed based on these bad pics,
but I can assure you that my face have changed quite a lot from
change in oral posture. Looking at those pics made me miss my
long hair hehe, gotta start imminent fasting again before I go
bald (yes, that helps my hair to grow)

Glad to see you've made progress, although I agree it's hard to
see the marked differences with no constant in the photo angles.
Any tips for someone who's new to this, with a slightly receded
chin/uneven jaw? (I had braces for years at a young age, and
also wisdom teeth extracted. In my kid pictures, before braces,
my jaw is very pronounced and face is symmetrical.) Now I have
       sunken eyes and clear asymmetries.
Do you recommend face pulling? And how do you keep oral posture
       during sleep? Thanks

I canīt speak on face pulling since I havenīt tried it, but I
have seen convincing pictures of someone that it seemed to have
worked for. You might try it out, but be careful and maybe donīt
overdo it. If you keep your tongue on the roof throughout the
day for some time, it should become a habit that will transfer
to when you are sleeping. Biting the teeth together gently and
then falling asleep will have the same effect as having the
tongue at the roof of the mouth, I think (not sure though) It
will help support you maxilla and bring it up. According to Mike
mew the teeth shouldnīt be touching more than about 8 hours a
day or so, I think. So either do it asleep or awake, not both.
My tongue is still not on the same spot all the time, so I still
have some work to do myself. But it is always somewhat touching
       the palate.
Something that helped me bring my tongue up to the palate was
doing tongue exercises every day. Look them up on youtube. The
tongue is a muscle and if you strengthen it, it will be easier
to hold it up from my experience. Try to get the back of the
tongue raised also, not just the tip. This was tricky for me in
the beginning, and still can be tricky to be honest, but it got
easier with practice. Hope it works out for you! If you have any
more questions, I would like to try answering them :)

Yes, thats correct haha. I dunno why it help, but it does for
me. A week of intermittent fasting and new hairs start growing
out. The body goes into another mode when you havenīt eaten for
a while, lowers insulin and other stuff I think. Think it has
something to do with that, but I dunno

Thanks for the encouraging post! You seem to have had a great
foundation to begin with, and while like others there pics
aren't perfect, it's helpful to see people trying things. You
might do a side by side like a lot of my posts that show
       progression easier :)
