Face Pulling - Not feeling anything

Hey guys, I have been browsing this forum and have seen some
before and afters. Truthfully, I can't see much of a difference
besides the lighting changes and haircuts. Can we get a before
and after keeping all other variables constant? Day 2 of face
       pulling right now

I think can be pretty hard to see differences on pictures, as
you would see them in real life (or video?). I tried to send my
sister a picture of my face pulling results after a few weeks of
doing it, but couldn't find an angle to really display the
differences best, but when she saw me in real life, she saw the
differences immediately. Indeed you would have to take such
identical pics , over a long period of face pulling, to see
differences best. It helps too if you see pictures of people's
before and afters, to keep looking at them. The more often i've
seen the same before and after pictures of people on this site,
and became familiar with their faces, the easier I could spot
the differences. The better you know something, the easier it is
to see a difference. You would see a small change in your
sweater much easier than to see a sudden difference that
appeared on a sweater of your friend, simply because you were
only familiar with your friends sweater on a basic level (and
not detailed level). if you want to see clear differences, check
out ' transformers 2 year progress ' (older topic) to see how
much wider his face has become, and check out Tylers pictures
and look at his eyebrow shape changes. These are 2 very easy to
spot differences. I see the differences on most pictures I've
seen. (except a certain blonde girl with long hair - her
pictures were too different in angle and make up, in the before
       and after)

Hey buddy!, if you are not feeling anything at all while
facepulling you should check your tools.
Also, as ryan said above, changes are really difficult to see in
       pictures.
       I've been facepulling for 5 months now, when I started I wasn't
feeling anything, just like you, I thought that it was normal
because a few guys here and there said that they weren't feeling
anything as well, so I kept pulling it that way for almost 2
months. Nevertheless I was getting changes, really slight
changes but hey it was at least working! I didn't lose my time
and money buying that hockey mask! :).
But, one day. The day that changed my life... That day my rubber
bands broke and slapped me on the face. Damn dude I was using
very thin bands, they also get streched over time and apply even
less pressure, so well I bought new bands with more thick! and
hell!! I began to feel the fucking pressure that people talks
about! and a bit of relief ( Just a bit, it's not something
powerful like Plato said ) or maybe it is but I dont feel it
yet. NCR may make a difference
       So that's why I ask
Are you using a hockey mask? or which method are you using?
Using proper rubber bands? We should assign a # of rubber band
that could work fine with everyone. The ones im using are still
thin, I tried with really thick bands and they pulled my braces
out, lol... I dont know which # of rubber band im using right
now and cant get to identify the # that plato used. I will buy
#64 and try those, I think that something between #27-#32 should
work fine, as you see i'm still trying to get it right after 5
months, I hope to be a help and make it even faster for everyone
       else
Good clips? Weak clips get expanded with ease
Are you pulling with braces? I got braces put on so I dont
really know about pulling with an appliance, in my opinion it
       could work less
Remember to don't exaggerate on pulling force, it may lead to
       damage. Hear your own body.
I will update my results after I try several # of rubbers bands,
sorry if I'm not being fully understandable, English is not my
native language. You can ask me anything if you like

Yes, the method I am using is the hockey mask (same exact bolts
and helmet Plato used). I do not have braces, but have a custom
retainer with hooks behind the eye teeth. I am using a size #32
rubberband attached to paperclips. Since I wasn't feeling
anything I doubled up on rubber bands on each side, might be bad
move. At first I was clenching my jaw when doing it, but
realized it resists most of the force/ So I just let my mandible
hang now. After my 3rd day doing it, all of a sudden I
understand how much pressure the tongue can really put on the
maxilla. I honestly thought all the people on the forum talking
about tongue posture were exaggerating a ton. Today, I pushed
hard with my tongue on my maxilla, which for some reason
couldn't do. Felt decent pressure on the back of neck. I think I
am judging face pulling to quick, I will update in a couple
       weeks or something like that.

I see... seems like people using a retainer are getting
unsatisfactory results or may struggle in the process.
You pointed two important factors, Tongue push and Relaxation
state. While facepulling you should arrange a very deep state of
relaxation just like meditating, this is key to identify the
feelings on your body. When I'm pulling I may take as long as 15
minutes to completely relax and start to feel the whole pressure
on my cheekbones. Sometimes its as fast as 5 minutes, point is
that you must relax your whole body and concentrate on your
       head.
Pushing with the tongue can make a difference too, but I found
it really annoying for the neck while facepulling, after 5-10
minutes of hard pushing I couldn't handle the discomfort and had
to stop, so I decided to push with a reasonable amount of force.
You can also push with your tongue the whole day and still feel
a bit of pressure without the neck pain. Obviously that was my
case, if you feel ok doing it, great! :)
The rubber bands you're using are good, give them a try. It's
true that you are judging too fast, I used to do it as well, at
first I felt kind of cheated and wanted to stop... but I said
whatever, it's just 30min a day lets stick to it.
Eventually you'll get it right and notice changes, take your
first month as a learning phase of what works for you

I'm using a custom retainer and a bike helmet (own design)
..which really works well for me . I'm getting visible results
in weeks. I believe that pulling the mandible UP MORE works
better than than pulling UP AND FORWARD EVENLY .I read on older
posts by other people that it didn't work if the didn't pull
enough upwards...so i figured that possibly it was mostly the
force upwards that did the trick. This would also make sense in
the way that both your bite and your tongue on roof are also
forces that go UP more than forwards. So based on that idea I
made mine design so that its mostly pulling up, and a bit
       forward...but like 2/3 up...1/3 forward.... (maybe even 3/4 up,
1/4 forward). I'm not sure of cause, but it might be why i'm
getting results pretty soon. You guys could try that and see if
it works better. I'm speaking about the angle the elastics is
pulling . I attached 4 elastics to all 4 attachment points of my
custom made retainer..and the direction of the elastics is like
70% upwards, 30% forward (the numbers are all guesses since i
did not measure that exactly (yet))
I've even tried pulling up so much that red marks appear on my
face, because the elastics go up so much they touch my forehead.
I'm not sure yet whether pulling up so much in comparison to
pulling a little more forward is the best of the 2, but with
both methods I see a difference in my facial appearance after I
just did the face pulling. After that it always seems to revert
a bit back where the progress stabilizes.

Ok, so I can actually feel a good pull on the palate now. I
don't think I was pulling hard enough. It actually feels good.
But one problem, the paper clips and rubber bands start giving
away before I can get an adequate pull force. I am using size
#32, I am going through them quick. I use it only once because I
can see the bands ripping up and don't want to risk it snapping
       in my eye.

Hey, AestheticMaxilla! How r you doing? Hope you're still around
       !
I received my #64 rubber bands yesterday and wanted to share my
experience with you, hope to be of some help
I've only pulled once with those rubber bands but as soon as I
saw them I knew that they would work fine. They're thick enough
to apply a decent amount of force without the fear of getting
slapped (something I couldn't do with my past bands) you can
actually play with them until you find your appropriate pull
       force.
With this bands I could feel even more pressure than before, I
felt it very satisfying, in fact, I felt really excited because
of those new sensations, also because things were working as I
was expecting. After I finished facepulling my breathing was
feeling so much better and I was so fucking happy that I had to
make time to write this shit down. Seems like I finally got it
right after 5 months of pulling wrong :'(
       I bought this bands

Maybe you could find something better, I bought those because
they were the cheapest and they resulted excellent. Anyways,
keep us updated on your progress
       See ya!
