THE GIVER-CHAPTER 3 AND 4: THE RELEASE

In chapter 3 and 4, we can see through Jonas's experiences,
further details of the society's structure. We can see some
background information about volunteer hours and seemingly
wonderful jobs as Nurturer and as Caretaker at the House of the
Old. At the same time, they also emphasize the adherence to
Sameness and downplaying of individuality that characterizes the
dystopian aspects of the community. Finally, the concept of
release from the community again appears, raising continued and
unsettling questions about its nature. According to your reading
understanding, What do you think the word “release” means? Use
examples from the text to support your answer.

Well, I think that it saves some relationship to be withdrawn
from the community, maybe forever rest or simply die . For
example, in the case of Roberto, who had already reached an age
limit, had a celebration. So recounts Larissa:“Well, there was
the telling of his life. That is always first. Then the toast...
He made a lovely good-bye speech. And several of us made little
speeches wishing him well…”
But it´s some curious that nobody in the community-except the
committee-know what the release is really. It´very mysterious to
the point that children aren´t allowed to go there :-\ . And
Larissa mentioned that:“I don’t know why they don’t let children
come”.
If we realize is like funerals that are made to people when they
die, but with the difference that this person participates even
in life and gives the opportunity to say goodbye to their loved
ones and that it did in life can be remembered.
However,in the first chapter,Jonas mentioned:“There were only
two occasions of release which were not punishment. Release of
the elderly and release of a newchild” So, for the rest the
release could be a very severe punishment something like a death
penalty to a serious failure. :P
I consider that the "release" is a term used by the Committee to
refer to the death and in this way not to provoke the sadness
for others who know the person. But even so everyone knows the
impact wich has to be released.

I think that the word "release" means the release of the human
of his spirit that is captured into one body. Curiously, this
action is made though a rare ceremony where the old mens (or
someone) accompanied by others friends or people, remember many
past actions of the person that have be release, this previous
to that person enters in the "Releasing Room", as Roberto. I
think what that room is the place where the person is killed,
there's not other way to release one person and not know where
it is later. That is the reason why Larissa told Jonas that she
dont know what happened with someone that has been released (the
location where he or she is, what did).
In my opinion, "release" is the word that describe the death,
one way to obtain the freedom, go to one place where anyone or
anything can see you again or disturb. Also, i think that this
is similar to the practice of the euthanasia. :)

I think that the release means that people are removed from the
community. Jonas explains that this was the worst punishment
they could receive no clutch, sometimes the release was an
honorable thing: when freed the elderly and children. As is the
case with Roberto, who had already served the maximum to stay in
the community age and had to go outside. This tells Larissa
telling the release of his friend was also wonderful because his
life was.
But nobody knew that was exactly the release, only those who
performed, the children were not invited to these, but cre was a
ceremony where people were taken to the community to another
place where they could rest live the time left to them and die .

In my opinion, when you mention the word "release" sounds like
"death". In itself, the facts show a general idea that although
not confirmed it is a fact that it is. According account
Larissa, in the Roberto´s case, actions and memories of his life
were discussed, celebrated and gave messages wishing him well.
But the most "suspicious" detail is that after that, Roberto
enters a room and never comes back.
The question is, perhaps, Is that room is the exit from the
Community? Well, I think not, obviously. :P ;D :D
For the Jonas´s Community, the "release" is a means by which
does not have to abide by more rules, is free :-\ . However,
the only way that is "dying" because being so, you are no longer
part of the Community.
Honestly, I think they do very cruel >:( . The Committee can
even choose the day of death of citizens, before they do it for,
willingly. :o :( :-[ :'(

In my opinión, the “release” is when the habitans leave the
society. There are two ways for that a person to be "liberated".
One case is when a citizen has committed serious errors (severe
punishment). The second case is a matter of honor. Such as: the
elderly who have worked with effort throughout his life in the
community, and newborns.
Roberto was an example of liberation. He fulfilled the necessary
years in service to the people and now he could be released.
According to Larissa, Roberto was very happy about this.
Although any inhabitant knows exactly where is the place of the
liberated, they think that in this place the people are happy
and they can die peacefully.

I think that the "release" means a way out of that world
seemingly perfect :P, but that departure has a high cost that is
the death :'( :-\
We can know mean through Larissa, when she told to Jonas about
the release of Roberto, where they talk all his life, like a
farewell to someone who is going to die. :'( >:( However i think
all the people killing at the others doesn't have feelings, not
because they want it so, but because they have been programmed
so; as you can be seen in later chapters >:( :'( :-\

I think that "release" means death of the people. We can find
this significant when Jonas are with Larissa and she told his
how was Roldofo'release.For us this could be an unnatural way of
died, but in the community I think is normal. According to the
book this release is for babies with shortcomings in their
development and for the elderlies who completed their normal
life cycle. ::) ::) Also in the book, the death is shown like
something to celebrate and enjoy, what in the actuality means
suffering and misery. :-X :-X

Regarding the book and from the point of view of Jhonas the word
liberation "mean withdrawing from the Comunida Which Can Be
Considered the worst punishment, however some ocacione Where
There Were Considered it was an honor as it meant perosna HAD
That served the maximum in the community and in the case of lso
elderly. No thier Nobody Knew exactly what liberation consisted
of the ceremony, Which Means That apart from That moment is
literally free. now, what really meant the famous release is now
Known as euthanasia in our times, That is the word liberation
meant death, out of That perfect world Where They Were to a
place Which desconocian all but imagined as was ... Jhonas later
in the story you will realize the true meaning of liberation,

I think that: "releace" for that community means go out of that
society, which could be killed or leave for live with other
people in the disorder world, in both cases I think that people
who request the releace would have to be brave people
