Think what I may end up doing is going through it with one of
each base class (at the very least both Warrior and Rogue,
having played a mage already), but as of now here is my new
Warrior, Avacyn

For Kalanna's questions, Sir Jing’s Weapons will always be my
favorite side quest because sparkly weapons, yay :D
For me, it was a bit nostalgic and also quite nice to see Lady
Celestia again, from the time before. I'm glad we still have her
at the very beginning of our journey.

Heh Sir Jings always is my first stop when starting DF again :P
The biggest surprise I get when starting a new hero is the art
of the baseclasses (After having been spoiled with the new class
art)
Also if you want to "grind" for gold, there's a catapault quest
in Oaklore, easy 30 gold for a few seconds of catapaulting.
Also Also, do we just do the treefort quest or also the other
ones in that chain?

We need to be... level 3 to get to FalconReach, right? I would
do the entire chain, if only for the xp to make fighting that
hydra easier xD I had all my other characters stay in Oaklore
until at least level 5.

Rolith won't talk to you about Celestia until you're at least
level 3. And you can't get to Falconreach until you've talked to
him. So you're correct, Star. You need to be at least level 3 to
get to Falconreach.

be waiting for another week or two...)
Also, here's a question for all of you who have done the quest
assignments: how was the length? Was the number too big, too
little, or just right?

She has no memory of who she is.
My current plan is to have her become a Guardian and possibly
Multiclass. I'm not sure what her specs will be yet. Maybe
Beastmaster? That'd be cool, but then I'd have to find pets for
each element because she's Non-DA, so having the Dragon as a pet
won't work.
I found a Chickencow Armor in Sir Koffagus's crypt. So: O.O
I think I'll replay Koffagus to get a weapon.
Have only done the Treefort. Will do the rest of that chain if
told to.
First thing we'll do in Falconreach is see Patch.
[s]I thought Guardians could save the armor in the Tower, but
apparently that's only for DAs. So she'll be getting a house
with the Orb of Saving at some point.[/s] Drat. Never mind,
then.
I think I'll make her a character in my story once we finish
Book 1 and I see where she is, gameplay-wise.
Also, toying with the idea of a Warrior, but I think I'll hold
off on that.
EDIT: @ Kalanna: The length was good on this.

I liked the length of this set, so around this should be good. I
wouldn't have too many more, though, especially as quests get
longer.
And doing all the listed quests once, plus one more of Sir Vey's
(sorry, needed gold for stats) puts me at level 7.

IIRC, you need a DA to get a house. Just so you know.
EDIT: Just checked. My memory served me well. Houses are DA
only.

Whew. Finally I get to join the party. I decided to go for a
Warrior this time so I can have fun with portals later. Adamant

It's weird to start all over again. Part of me wanted to click
the backpack all the time to put on better equipment, although I
knew I didn't have any. (Please ignore the DOOM, I won't use
them in this playthrough.) Followed by a case of "I find my lack
of skills disturbing". Simple slice 'n' dice is surprisingly
fun, though I could do with less misses. Yeah, I've been spoilt
by my L80 main. On the other hand, DF char Miran doesn't even
know orange exp exist anymore. :D
"Can you dig it, sucka'?!" Really, DF team? Really? ::) (When
you click on the Shovel in Sir Loin's quest) I don't think I
found that one 9 years ago. :P
...and then there was that moment when I did pitiful damage on a
Positros (Level 8 Energy Elemental) and complained: "Aww! Metal
is only not-very-effective against Electric-types in Pokémon.
Either you're in the wrong game, or I am!" (Which is blatantly
untrue, both are quite obviously the right games for me. ^.^)
Still, I did not expect that level spike, as I was L5 at the
time. The other pseudo-bosses were L4. Huh.
Playing through the Sir Koffagus quest: *hack, slice, fight all
the things* "I think I went the wrong way." *Time passes* "I
think there are only wrong ways here..." *even more time passes*
"There are no wrong ways. Only ways with EXTRA MANY EXP!"
*wheeee*
Am I the only one who always forgets to train Stats? Those are
quite expensive early on.
