Beacons of Hope-Steam Group

I am aware that not everyone uses Steam, but I think it'd be
pretty cool to make a Steam group so we could get together and
play some other (free or even not free games).
Also steam itself is free and does not take up much memory, just
so everybody is aware of this.
So I want to know everybody's reactions to this!

I think that this is an awesome idea! I have a Steam account (I
think as Gryffin or Starflame), and there are some free games
that come up now and then for those who don't want to buy more.
One that might be a good, simple tester game is called Dragons
and Titans. It doesn't take TOO strong a computer to handle if
you have graphics on low and relatively good internet (most days
mine actually CAN handle it :P ). There is some paid content to
get more than the first Act or so of the Story Mode, but most of
the PvP is free, so we could potentiall have a group of 10
playing at once (5 on 5) if people wanted to try it.

I've never used Steam before, but I'd be willing to give it a
shot. Hopefully my computer can handle it (it's aging), though
the games I played would be limited due to the fact I'm on a
Mac.
Might as well get a second non-Mac computer with all the games
everyone is playing that I can't...

Well I may not be a Beacon, but I have Steam and a variety of
games. Is this still a thing or has the idea died down?

Still a thing, as far as I know, if we find a game enough people
are interested to try!
And to add on to the list, Draketh and I have been recently
playing a game called Terraria, which is a bit like 2D
Minecraft. It's on Steam and costs about $10.00, I think, but I
know Fae and Aura have also played it, so if people are
interested we can put together a BoH server and actually build
the tower!

Nice. I think the only issue I'd have would be time zones - I'm
in Britain so I'm pretty separate to most of you guys in terms
of when I can play. I think my username is nathan6398, but I
can't remember exactly. You'll have found the account if the
picture is some silhouetted dagger.
As for Terraria: I can probably get it. I will need to buy a new
steam voucher to get it, because its £6.99 and I have £6.70 on
my steam account, but that isn't a huge issue. :) Plus it'd be a
good chance for you guys to get to know me a bit better, because
I am still pretty new to most of you guys. :)
