Annnd Tournament is closed! (Too few people for a consolation
round, I think?) Just barely managed to scrape a victory over
Rip!

So... now that that's over... do people have any feedback?
Changes? Improvements? Do we want to have another?

To get it right at it now, letting RNG decide who goes forward
for those who could not fight each others is not that great of a
idea, to be honest. It has the potential for the person actively
TRYING to get his or her match and they can be eliminated for no
reason. That is rather unfair.
I do believe it is best for the person that actively tries to
get their match go on. Granted, it can be hard to tell who is
trying to find their match and there is the chance both try to
get their match but that can solved by arranging schedules based
on timezones.
Other then that, there is nothing inherently wrong with the
tournament. I do believe it might be a good idea to switch it up
now and again by doing a different game or simply changing the
rules a bit. You know, add some variety to it.
So yeah, congratulations Star for winning the first tournament.

These are normally to decided third place and since there are
only three people in the finals, then yes 1 person too few.

I agree with this. It would keep things from getting to
predictable.*here's hoping for a Monotype Tournament*

I haven't participated in the Open Tournament, but from an
outsider's perspective I think iw went quite smoothly, all
things considered. The few things that could be improved have
been addressed. I hope the next tournament will get a good
number of participants so we can avoid the free pass issues.
A few ideas for upcoming tournaments:
- Other tiers (OU is default, so how about a UU or even RU or NU
Tournament? Derpmons and Kittehmons FTW!)
- Litte Cup
- Monotype / Pillars / other themed Teams
- Doubles / Triples
- Tier Shift (= 'mon of tiers below OU get their BST boosted.
The lower the tier, the bigger the boost)
- Inverse Battle (Immunites become Weaknesses, what normally
hits SE will be NVE...)
I think Star did a great job with organizing this Tournament,
but we can't expect her to always do this. So having someone
else to take turns / stand in needs to become a thing in future
Tournaments too.

@Ging: No, I do not. It was more for those who venture out in
the internet quite often. I am simply sure that there is more
than just Showdown we can do. If we were to simply do Showdown
though I have no qualms about it. Just a thought.
I do admit that we can not go any further than on the computer
for multiple reasons.

I'm slightly inclined to suggest that the next tournament be
Little Cup. >.>

I wouldn't mind if we tried to do a different game entirely (and
this isn't just because I suck at Pokemon >.>) if anyone knows
of any sites like showdown that we could use.
