Mortous/Caststarter, depending if Showdown wants to screw me
over again. Skill level? Based on one battle... a 5 maybe?
"2. Only one Mega Pokemon allowed per Team."
Is this not redundant since, IIRC, you can only mega-evolve once
per battle? So even if you have two pokemon with a mega-stone,
you can only mega-evolve one of them, not both.
Also, are we going to do a "best out of ___" style or just one
match per person?

Noted, Star. Now to try to find someone else who'll fill up my
team slots well... Bah. This'll be tough.

Decided to try this.
Emberflight, skill level: 1.
I also don't have a team as of yet, so...

Mort, I don't know how showdown works, so if that's a code built
in, then yes, it's redundent. But it doesn't hurt to remind
people so they don't try anyways.
And I think for this first tournament, it should just be one
match per round. If that seems to be too little, we can change
it next time.

@Faerdin, While yes a lot of legendaries are super powerful,
smogon has a list of specific pokemon are banned that are OP
including the legendaries that are OP. If you wanna go by stats
that makes them harder to take down, does that mean we cannot
use Dragonite, Tyranitar, Garchomp, Metagross, Hydreigon, Goodra
and Slaking? They all have stats that are stronger then some
legendary pokemon.

We must be clear on how much we want to limit our choices.
Banning all legendaries (regardless of tier, I mean, Cresselia &
Co are Rarely Used, others are UnderUsed, they aren't all OU and
above ^^) is one thing, banning all pseudolegendareies (BST 600,
but not-Legendary in game) would be another thing entirely. I'd
say it's okay to nix one or the other, not both.

Outlawing all powerful pokemon is probably a bad idea, and as
people have pointed out to me, you can make even a UU pokemon
powerful if you know how to use it. But in order to make this
as less confusing as possible for the non-pokemon people who are
joining.... let's just stick with no legendaries or ubers.
Anything else should be fair enough. If it doesn't work out, we
can change this later.

Okay then. :) For those of us who haven't played all
generations, a list (or link to a list) of Legendaries would be
helpful for reference. Maybe it should be added to the first
post of both threads.
Edit: Have a nice and official List of Legendaries

My username is Riprose, and I'd rate my knowledge about 7, since
I forget simple stuff and don't always make the right desicions.

Let it begin! You all have one week to find your opponent, have
the battle, and post the results with the link to the battle. If
you haven't done so by the end of the week, roll will decide the
winner! There will be a consolation bracket, so you have up to
two losses. Once you lose twice, you're out of the tournament.
I don't have the full brackets worked out yet, but here are the
week one opponents!
Round One Opponentss:
PCK (Thepaperclipkiller)-------
vs.
---Deathlord----------Deathlord--------------------
Deathlord (Deathlord45)-------
Riprose (Riprose)--------------
vs. ---Riprose--------
Cataclysm (DD Adam)--------
-------Riprose--------------------------------------Riprose-----
----
Empish (Empish)--------------
vs. ---Empish--------
San Robin (San Robin AE)---
-----Starflame---
Ember (Emberflight)----------
vs. ---Ember------------
Faerdin (Faerdin)-------------
-------Starflame--------------------------------Starflame-------
Mort (Mortous/Caststarter)---
vs. ----Starflame--------
Starflame (Starflame)---------
Reminder of Rules!
The main rules to creating your Pokemon team:
1. No Uber/Legendary Pokemon are allowed.
2. Only one Mega Pokemon allowed per Team.
3. Try not to be a huge troll, especially if playing someone
with less experience.
4. You will be able to change up to two of your Pokemon
after each battle. This can be anything from items, to move
sets, to the Pokemon themselves, to all of the above.
