Told you it was an easy one. Good job, Elryn. And yea, tough
ones are allowed. Though I'm wary saying that since, IIRC, your
riddles are Kangi evil.

All right. A tough one then:
Once lived, now dead
Yet life through my veins does flow
I lost all the hair I once had on my head
A metal helm covers that now though.
Who am I?

[font=georgia][color=#5694EB]Hmnn.. mayhaps a quill pen or

*Elryn chuckles*
You must tell me your reasoning or your break down of the riddle
to arrive to those conclusion before I may say yea or nay. 'Tis
much more interesting that way.

[font=georgia][color=#5694EB]*Beams warmly in a smile* I'd be
happy to, Sir Elryn!
Once lived, now dead /
—Quill/calligraphy pen: A feather detached from its avian
counterpart, or a small branch broken from a sapling.
—Telephone pole: A felled tree to be used for timber.
Yet life through my veins does flow /
—Q/CP: Ink flows through the nib of an old-fashioned pen,
bringing "life" through written word, letters between friends,
poetry, books that might promote philosophy, etc.
—TP: Wires as "veins", carrying the "life" of human voice,
connection, and interaction.
I lost all the hair I once had on my head /
—Q/CP: This is where my quill guess felt a bit shaky; I had
thought the fluffiest part of a feather to the the "tail", and
the hollow part (the calamus, I believe?) where once connected
to the birdy to be the "head". Thus, the clearing of tiny tufts
around the calamus to make a cleaner quill pen 'losing its
hair'. As for the calligraphy pen, the tiny twigs and leaves
attached being removed to make the pen's body.
—TP: A tree shorn of all limbs but its trunk would make for a
saddeningly bald tree, indeed. *Hugs the tree* D;
A metal helm covers that now though.
—Q/CP: A metal nib to crown the calamus or base of a wooden ink
pen as a helm of sorts — and even if not necessarily correctly,
the more I picture it, the more my love for the analogy of the
nib as a helm, aha. ^ u^
—TP: The metal arms that rest atop the telephone pole, securing
and carrying the wire "veins".
Whew! Well there ya go, RiddleMaster Elryn! Having written out
my thoughts and realizing how much detail I had to conjure for
my ink pen guess, I feel more inclined to my latter, but I'm
eager to see what you've to say! C:

Sir Bram Malifact. And because the riddler is evil and making me
explain:
Once lived, now dead
That one's simple enough. He was alive once, and now he's dead
since all we see of him is his ghost.
Yet life through my veins does flow
The 'life' of a ghost that flows through its veins is, if memory
serves, very commonly believed to be ectoplasm (not believing in
ghosts, I wouldn't know)
I lost all the hair I once had on my head
Kinda a shot in the dark, since we can't see much of him, and we
never saw him alive, but the picture of him and his NPC looks
kinda bald to me.
A metal helm covers that now though.
He's wearing a helmet. So his head is quite literally covered by
a metal helm.
And this is why I'm bad at riddles. I'm a literalist.

*Elryn grins* With that then, I may confirm that it is indeed a
Telephone Pole, Aurauris. Well done.
Hmm.. If that one was solved as quickly then harder riddles are
required. Let us try this:
Alone I am helpless, I cannot care for my health
Turn ill, a sickly green
I depend solely on my prey
Its tender care
They come to me, flock to my maw
A daily ritual
Ends at dusk, starts at noon.
Many leave, some face the depths doomed.
Who am I?

[font=georgia][color=#5694EB]This riddle's verbiage gives me
chills, and I hope it not too morbid to state my guess of
"swimming pool".. ; ~;
Alone I am helpless, I cannot care for my health /
Turn ill, a sickly green /
I depend solely on my prey /
Its tender care /
—Without constant care and proper filtration — all maintained by
humans, "prey" — a swimming pool would quickly become stagnant
and overrun by algae, causing "a sickly green" hue.
They come to me, flock to my maw /
A daily ritual /
Ends at dusk, starts at noon.
—Swimmers flock to pools each day in the summertime beginning at
the hottest part of the day, noon, until dusk, descending into
the round, open "maw" of the pool.
Many leave, some face the depths doomed.
—While with parents afoot to keep eyes on small children and
(hopefully) lifeguards patrolling wherever possible, there is
still usually at least one or two cases of someone drowning each
summer..
*Shudders* Elryn, this riddle is scary! I'm really hoping I'm
wrong, and that this answer is just horror-bits left over from a
nightmare last night.. ; x;

*Elryn grins and chuckles* And most right you are, Aurauris. It
is indeed a swimming pool.
It seems I must come up with more challenging riddles. Here is
your next one:
From the beginning of this riddle to the very last
You will not find me in what has past.
Just search for the answer, It’s not quite so hard
Show that keen zeal for playing your part.

The letter 'x.' Simply because it reminds me of one of those
letter riddles, and it's the only letter of the alphabet not in
there (and I checked).
