Nope. You're forgetting the last bit: 'or the value of a coin'

I did consider that in my answer,
actually! I was thinking brass instruments & brass coins.
Alas, call me 'Stupefy'ed! ^ u^
Edited spoiler for Gin:
Edit: Perhaps your Sphynxy
friend should take a look here
HTML http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_drachma,
I'm not quite sure
"the value of a coin" fits properly for an answer of "dragon".
D;
I had only meant to point out that I don't think "drachma"
originates from a word meaning "dragon", hence my link. *Points
upwards to the word "here" in her original Edit*

That's cheating, Aura. I already gave you the answer. :P But,
yes. It is a dragon.

Next riddle then (sorry I'm so late with it):
I shine light in the darkness but I'm not always easy to see.
Sometimes I can blind you, or I can set you free. I bring joy as
well as sorrow, healing as well as pain. I can be large as a
whole or as small as a grain. What am I?
Two more riddles after this. And they're hard as heck. The last
one especially.

Maybe "hope", then? o;
I've a riddle of my own to share! Here goes:
I travel by sea or by hand, gentle as a pup's kiss or as angry
as a giant.

Nope. The last two points are the clues to focus on.
Did you mean 'land' instead of hand?

I think I've exhausted my guessing for your last
riddle, then.
And nupe, madame! "Hand" is indeedy what I meant.
Ooh, ooh, wait! Is the answer to yours "Truth"? :3

Bingo, Aura! :D Two more from my Sphinx, and these are the
really tough ones:
"My days are over but I've not forgotten. I've already withered
and long since gone rotten. Not of this world, a part of the
night. I search for the end that isn't in sight. What am I?"
