I would choose the 5 year old doing my hair/makeup, since i
don't do hair or makeup :P I have short hair, so not much they
       need to worry about!
Would you rather: Hold a huge party, and have no one show up, or
have lots of people show up, but have all of them be total
       strangers?

[color=#42fffd]I think that having nobody show up would be a
relief. If I ever said I was holding a huge party, it would only
       be in jest.
Would you rather be - sentient, of course - a giant tree in the
middle of a forest or a famous man-made structure (Eg. Eiffel
Tower, Taipei 101, Angkor Wat, etc.).

Giant tree. DEFINITELY a giant tree. You don't know where people
stick there gum on most man made structures *shudders*.
Would you rather... eat the same meal for a week or eat nothing
       for a full day?

Same meal for a week. Pasta all the way! (and cookies!)
Would you rather be taken prisoner by a gang of thieves, or join
       a gang of thieves?

I would rather join the game of thieves. Hang around until I
learn all their tricks and then hide from them so they can't
come back to take me prisoner :p
This was a dorm poll question: Would you rather fall asleep for
a year (missing out on everything that would have happened), or
go about your normal day naked (with no legal repercussions)?
I actually chose to take the one day punishment, I don't want to
miss everything that's going to happen in the next year.

       STREAKDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
Would you rather give up a hand to learn a new language.
Or would you rather forgot (one of) the language(s) you know now
       to learn a new one?

Personally, I would rather forget one of the languages that I
already know. I know VERY rudimentary Spanish (like, 5 words,
but it still counts :P) in order to learn Chinese. I would
TOTALLY not use it to listen in to my research professor's
       conversation.
       TPBM: Would you rather:
Become a master in a field of study, only to realizes that your
work will NEVER, EVER benefit everyone, or go into a field of
study that is already complete, and not be able to add anything
       new.

[color=#42fffd]Presuming that the field of study is of some use
or importance, I think I'd have to go for the latter. Typically
there is SO MUCH to learn about a subject that all the
information could be right in front of you and it'd still take a
lifetime to understand it all completely, so learning it bit by
bit would be its own sense of accomplishment. You'd likely be
exempt from self-doubt and negative judgement from people in
other fields (more so than the first option, anyway), and you'd
still be able to assume the role of a teacher, if not a
researcher. Being at the cutting edge of research or a famous
thinker is nothing if not admirable, but it'd be demoralising to
be forced to doubt the worth of one's own existence. I'm not
sure I'd possess the fortitude to continue in that field.
Would you rather have been born with double-strength hearing or
       triple your sense of taste?

Probably triple my sense of taste. While I'd love having the
super power of double strength hearing, without being able to
turn it off, it'd be impossible to focus or fall asleep with
noise, and going to any concerts or any public gathering would
       be too loud to bear.
Would you rather leave your home country and never return, or
never again move beyond 100 miles of where you are now? (If
you're near the border of a country, you're not allowed to pass
even if it's within the 100 mile radius.)
