Links in Welcome Message/Events

I've been wondering how to do this. Here's what I've tried:
HTML <a:(link with http://)>TEXT</a> - Did not work.
HTML <a:(link without http://)>TEXT</a> - Didn't work.
What should I do?

HTML You are suppost to remove the http:// that should make it work.
If it doesn't, ask Darren for more information :l
