       Fiona Sensible Armor Combinations
By: Myraj Date: June 1, 2013, 5:42 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I hope this will be useful for Fionas.
Now that we know all the Armor available to us for the next year
or so, we can compare mixed set configurations and start working
       towards our dream sets.
This post compares armor mixed sets for Fiona. It doesn't apply
to other classes, because they have different armor sets
available to them. Below lists every sensible set, meaning that
if you choose a set which is not in this table, you could get
the same ATT with higher DEF and vice versa. These calculations
do not include Episode 2 equipment.
TL;DR - Apoc/Raiders is the highest ATT set, with
BlackPearl/Raiders giving a little less ATT for a lot more DEF.
Enthusiasm is almost universally better than Force, even
considering the DEF loss, because you can typically change out a
light piece for a heavy/plate piece to more than compensate for
DEF and still come out ahead in ATT.
       Items Considered
I looked at the following armor pieces:
       2-star Phantom set
       2-star Imperial set
       3-star Black Hammer set
       3-star Apocryphal Boots and Gloves
2-star Apocryphal Tunic, Pants, and Hat
       2-star Everlasting set
       2-star Black Pearl set, and
       3-star Raider's set.
For this comparison, all Heavy and Plate pieces have both
Tutelary and Sentinel, except Tunics, which have no enchants.
All Light pieces have either Force or Enthusiastic, except
Tunics, which have no enchants. All pieces are +8.
Stats for the Phantom, Imperial, and Black Pearl sets were taken
from VindictusHQ. All other information is taken from
VindictusDB. I may ninja update the Defense values later,
because VindictusDB does not consistently account for +8, but
for now, it should be accurate enough to make good decisions.
       Table: Fiona Sensible Armor Combinations
After compiling every combination of armor, the algorithm sorted
them by ATT, and then eliminated all combinations that sacrifice
DEF unnecessarily, i.e., if an armor combination is NOT on this
list, then you can get the same/similar ATT with more DEF.
There was some leniency in choosing which configurations to keep
in case more affordable combinations give similar stats.
For armor configurations that include both Enthusiastic and
Force enchants, you can of course get the same stats by swapping
       the enchants around between gear.
ATT values account for STR, and DEF values account for AGI.

Currently popular sets for comparison (Every item below is
       2-star, +8 and fully R9-enchanted):

Alone, ATT and DEF boosts due to armor sets won't tell you much
about how wearing each set will impact your DPS and
survivability. The effects of wearing these sets will depend
very strongly on your weapon enhancement, accessory
       enchantments, and what you're fighting.
To predict how equipping each armor set will affect your
character stats, take off all your armor (Boots, Tunic, Gloves,
Hat, and Pants) and note your stats in the Character Info
screen. Your total stats while wearing any of the above sets
will be those stats plus the ones listed. Bear in mind that if
you're currently less than lv80, your stats will be increased
       when you reach max level.
Table: Fiona Sensible Armor Combinations without Black Pearl
Word on the street is that Black Pearl pieces are going to be
twice the price of what dragon tears currently cost, which will
put them well out of most players' price ranges. I performed
the same comparison as above without Black Pearl pieces.
The ATT and DEF values of the above table are dominated by Black
Pearl pieces, which makes the list of sensible combinations
quite short. With these pieces removed, the list becomes very
       long.
If you're not the calculating type, a few rules of thumb:
       •
12k, with "15k+" boats being the norm. Try to get your
character at least up to this ATT range.
       •
of extra ATT you get will make a large difference to your DPS.
For reference, if you're currently around 15k ATT, getting 200
more ATT will increase your DPS by about 5%.
       •
the effect of adding more DEF is about doubled when you're
already within 1k of the Boss's ATT value. Don't sweat a few
100 DEF points unless you're in this range (11k-13k for
       Kraken/Lakiora).

Nice post, it sure is useful. Sadly not for me, I already
stripped her of all her items xD
In my opinion DEF is the priority. As Fiona you should be able
to read 10k Defense easily. Trying to get Attack from armor
pieces is a no-go, it always sacrifices DEF. So I think it's
better to get DEF from armor and get all ATT you need from your
       sword or hammer.

Well Black pearl is somewhat difficult to get hold on by
       "normal" people
And we are getting Heremon soon, wich is not bad at all.

I meant easy to get in comparison with better armors (= Black
       Pearl ). A couple of Tutelary's/Sentinels on Apo/Black Hammer
and you should be at 10k :o

Any combination you do will cost you money and time. Runes,
empos, expensive scrolls, runes again and a lot of risk. So, in
my opinion not worth to choose a middle way. I do not want to
invest in a set just because it's readily available. I prefer to
wait a little more and get the premium gear. I am a regular
player and believe me, it took me over a year to do set BH/apoc
to +10 & (almost) full scrolled (sentinel/tutelary mainly). Now
Im looking for a combination Black Pearl/apoc. And I started
when BH set was a kinda premium set and Apoc set was not yet
available... Maby with real money u can do the same gear in one
       day. Its little bit said.
