       Diagnosis, At Last!

       We have officially received diagnosis! Blake DOES have both
       Ulcerative Colitis and Primary sclerosing cholangitis. He
       currently has to take 11 pills a day for treatment of both.
       He was prescribed Ursodiol 500 mg. This is drug basically thins
       the bile so that it can more easily pass through the narrowed
       Common Bile Ducts.
       He was also prescribed Balsalazide 750 mg. Blake has to swallow
       3 of these pills, 3 times a day for a total of 9 pills. They are
       used to treat the ulcerative colitis by reducing the
       inflammation in his colon.
       Blake also takes1 Prilosec daily to help reduce his stomach
       acid.
       We follow up in Pittsburgh at the end of the month (March 31,
       2017) with both the liver specialist and GI specialist. Yes,
       both of these diseases are scary. Yes, we have a long road ahead
       of us. But, we will continue to take one day at a time. I can
       not thank each and every one of you enough for all of your
       prayers and showers of love!
