       Checkup

       Blake had his annual checkup today at CHP.  We started off with
       an abdominal ultrasound and then seen both Dr. McKiernan (liver
       specialist) and Dr. Srinath (Pediatric GI Specialist).  The
       ultrasound showed that Blakes liver is enlarged and "hardening".
       His bile ducts are once again enlarged and filled with sludge.
       His gull bladder is also enlarged.  However, we are assured by
       both doctors that this is completely NORMAL for a patient with
       UC and PSC.  Both doctors agree that the medications that Blake
       is currently taking are managing the diseases.  They will
       continue to monitor Blake regularly (6 months).  If things
       continue to progress they may have to reintroduce steroid
       therapies.  This is something that will be decided later.
       Currently, we will remain on the current medication regime.  In
       the meantime-- we have been cleared for travel! Hawaii here we
       come!
