       April Fools (But No Joke!)

       We were awoken at 6:30 am this morning so that they could draw
       more blood. The pediatrician on call came in briefly later in
       the morning to check on Blake. He was still having some pain,
       but very mild. (1 on a scale of 1-10)
       Dr. Ng (Our gastrointestinal specialist here in Erie) came in
       during the afternoon. In fact, I left Blake's room to grab a
       sandwich and Dr. Ng and I rode back upstairs to Blake's room in
       the elevator together. He examined Blake and told us that
       Blake's colon inflammation from the UC is what seems to be
       causing the pancreatitis. He ordered a liquid diet for the day.
       The plan is to see how Blake tolerates the diet and then
       increase him to a soft diet tomorrow. We are hoping that all
       goes well and that we are discharged to go home sometime
       tomorrow.
