       UBSR Law Discussion
By: Bla Date: December 28, 2012, 5:47 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Link to the laws of the UBSR:

This thread is for discussing laws.
       [hr]
       Wrote a new law:
  HTML http://blacraft.wikia.com/wiki/Rules/Law_of_the_Union_of_Blacraft_Socialist_Regions#.C2.A72.2.1_Signs
Are people satisfied with the official format for our signs?
Like with the other rules on things like that, there's no
punishment for not obeying them and there are still many old
signs not using exactly that format, but over time I hope
they'll be standardized to use it.
       And another one:
  HTML http://blacraft.wikia.com/wiki/Rules/Law_of_the_Union_of_Blacraft_Socialist_Regions#.C2.A73.2.1_Statistics
       And another one:
  HTML http://blacraft.wikia.com/wiki/Rules/Law_of_the_Union_of_Blacraft_Socialist_Regions#.C2.A73.3_Item_Libraries
Also, I wanted to know, what do people think of the idea of
building a collective storage for the entire UBSR? The other
collective storages will remain in place. But this storage is
not attached to any region, so its contents can only be used
through popular votes. Instead of confiscating items from
inspections and redistributing them, they could be put in the
UBSR collective. It would receive its resources from donations
(which I and Yqt would have to manage), and there could be an
option to prioritize it over the regional collectives in
       economic polls.
Also, I have been so kind to grant you a few more democratic
       rights in §1.2:
"Any changes to the laws made by Bla can be rejected through
popular vote, and changes or additions to the laws can also be
       made by popular vote."
Now please get back to worshipping me.

where would it be located and how is it beneficial?

I assume Spawntown if I would manage it, beneficial if people
want to give resources directly to our large projects and an
easier place to store confiscated stuff than redistributing.

I vote no for this 1 main collective storage.
       I think its to inconvienent.
It would also be unfair to 'rich' nations, as they would lose
more than the poor ones, and would have to make polls and go
back and forth and hope they win the poll, when they could just
take it from their own collective.
I am okay with the confistication rule, as i usally don't ahve
       any typos in numbers.

wait why people with more resources have always funded large
projects a larger percentage.... and everyone has to make polls
if they want to get resources from collective... what???

Notice it's a feeling. It's not a rational reason. You need to
ignore your feelings on issues and consider them rationally.
       Feelings don't matter.
I didn't see the points you were trying to make. Donating to it
is voluntary, so rich regions only lose more if they choose to
donate more themselves. By voting for "equally in %" rich
regions already give more in absolute values, that's also only
       fair.
"Make polls go back and forth when they could just use their
own", I see your point with this, but I simply don't see any
reason why that would happen. People can already do that with
all of our collective storages, vote 100 diamond blocks out to
build their own little temple. But they don't, and they know
that if they do, they won't win, and of course it makes no sense
that people would make a poll over and over again to win. If
necessary/if it happens we can just set limits on that, but I
       don't expect it to happen.

So do i have to provide an explanation? As with the example of
the diamond block, people could vote me down.

You don't have to, it depends on whether you want to discuss it
or not. If you want to discuss it just can't be based on
       feelings.
How is it a problem people could vote you down if you made a
poll to take a diamond block?
