Iphone 3GS IOS 6???

who has an iphone 3gs? cuss i looked on apple and you guys get
the new ios 6 but why do the 3GS phones get it and not the 1st
iPad?? it doesn't make any sense...

yeah with in months of each other im sure... and i think that
the iPad 1st gen would decently be more than capable compared to
the iPhone 3gs... apple has awesome products just i hate it when
the don't support them after 2 or 3 years.... like windows has
of resent only just stopped supporting one of their oldest
operating systems... and their new ones work on 5-6yr old
computers..... just fine so why is apple so different. (apart
from the fact that they have major upgrades every time a new
iPhone or product out its the newest fastest possessor soon to
be slowest thing out next week when they release the next one...
dont get me wrong i love apple products i just hate the ways
they treat them...

It is their strategy. People love iPhones so "rich" people will
continue to buy the newest generation of Apple iPhones year
after year. To be honest it is actually quite smart.

yeah i know but i wouldnt call it smart... other businesses do
it to but it is different some people who make things to break
so people continue to by them... and if i had a job id buy a new
product from them every time one was released cuss they dont
have many problems just the problem of writing them off to
early...

I'm sorry if this topic is dead but I thought I'd just throw
something out there while I have it in mind. I think they gave
the ios 6 to the iPhone 3GS and not the 1st gen iPad is because
they were still selling 3GS's at the time iOS 6 was released but
they weren't selling 1st gen iPads anymore. I believe that they
released the update for all the devices they were still selling
at the time which is probably why the 3rd gen iPod touch doesn't
have it either.

this is crap, ipod touch 3g is same than 3gs but stay on 5.1.1
(but thanks god it laaaag even on my 4g), but if im right the
3gs is made for ios 3? they are breaking their rules, they lose
support 2 major ios higher than what the device is created for,
like ipod 1 on 3.1.3, ipod 2 4.2.1 and so on. and now they bring
3 versions higher?! if it lag on the ipod 4, it will lag even
more on this old iphone.. the 256 mb of ram just can't handle
this, i think they do this to force the popular 3gs users to buy
a new one by making it deadly slow..

HAHA, well my dad has a 3GS on iOS 6.0.1 and I don't think it is
really slow (could be because no jb and very little apps). The
only thing is when it runs a bunch of apps, shit becomes slower
then my iPhone 3G xD
