Very nice alternative, didn't knew it!
unfortunately iīm in a country that textnow is not supported
(Portugal).
going so search other appīs to be used as phone.app.
actually i can make calls if i access to the contacts via
message (limited access) or favorites from lockinfo (limited
access).
Must find an fast application to make regular calls (not fringe
or viber)

you could replace the the phone.app with one that is from an
original ipsw for your phone. just jailbreak it with snowbreez
or somethings then open it and find the phone.app and replace
the one on your phone now with that one. might work?

Hi Admin, I have a small bug when using your fw. When I type a
message , I see a white cross on the send button and that cross
turns into 2 when I rotate my phone. Could you please tell me
how to fix this bug? Thank you !

that is corsed when the opengles 2 is added in the n72ap.plist
or what ever the iphone one is called this is l;ocated in
System/lybrary/core services/springboard.app and scroll down
till you find it. open it and find the part that says opengless
1 and delete the one under it that says opengless 2 then save
and restart springboard by going to mobile terminal and log in
then type in "killall SpringBoard" then enter... or just turn
ipt off and on:) hope this helps

There are ways to fix it but none have worked for me... I am
sure you can find something at the WD forums.

I dont know if this is a bug or what but i have a ipod touch 2g
and i followed the steps on how to get it to 4.3 or higher and
im on 4.3.5 now but when i try to download a app it says "(App's
name) will be available for download when you log in to the
itunes store on your computer". so the question is do i have to
have itunes to do this or can somebody help me do this just with
my ipod? PLEASE HELPP

This just means your device won't be able to use that appp
because it doesn't have the right frameworks and stuff. It
happens to me too.
