I have a virgin router would it be a case of logging on to the
router settings and changing them

hello pal.
yeah you need to look for port forwarding.
if you google port forwarding for your virgin box there will be
guide.
if you are still struggling let me know the make and model of
the router and i will try and write a little giude for you

I found the port forwarding I just didn't no what to put in
there my router is a super hub 2ac

I've setup a port on my router and I still cart connect to I
have to manually type a ip address in my tv
