Zion just sigheed and leaned back on the couch. "Fate can suck
it." the words floated absent-mindedly out of Zion's mouth and
bounced off the ceiling.
After Jasper's responce, Zion said, "Well you have fun with that
kiddo. Lemme know how it works out... that is, if you're still
alive to talk about it."

She wondered how many other Protectors there were and which ones
didn't want to do their job. Kira and Jasper seemed willing but
not Zion and she knew she was one of her Protectors. Not
officially since she hadn't seen her mark but the other gave her
the same feeling Kira did when they began interacting.
Lita shook the thoughts off, she wouldn't force anyone to
protect her if they didn't want to, bad enough this whole thing
was forced on her. Shoving her hands into her pocket she took a
few deep breaths and stepped into the living room, without a
word she took her seat on the floor again near Jasper.

Kira merely shook her head at Zions words with a sigh. She got
the strong feeling she'd never see eye to eye with him on this.
At Jasper's response she smiled with a light chuckle, "Happy to
meet another with such a drive."
As Lita entered again Kira gave the other girl a reassuring
smile. The plate of snacks was near her seat, in case she
wanted any. Her voice calm and warm as Lita settled in.
"Welcome back. I hope you found everything alright."

Lita smiled and nodded over to Kira. As Jasper spoke she didn't
even try to disagree with his statement. "Yep, you and Kira are
my Guardians." she said with resignation, her eyes briefly
flickered over to Zion when she refrained from mentioning her.
She grabbed a cookie off the plate

Zion battled within the mind on what to do. It was between
walking out and giving in. Zion wasn't one to give in, but
walking out would just prolong the inevitable.
"You're..." Zion's teethed clenched, continued "We're guarding
her from everything. From the smallest bug bite to the biggest
chaos break.... well okay not bug bites. You get the idea....
look." Zion sighed and slowly removed the headwrap. The mark was
nice and bold on Zion's forehead. Zion looked at Lita with a
glare. "I don't know what you did, but this" Zion pointed at the
mark. "Wasn't here this morning. I have half a mind to walk out
of here, but then you'll wind up in some stupid situation, I'll
of course be busy doing something important, then this thing'll
start to hurt like hell and I'll have to rush over to save you
because these two will have done all they could... or will they.
Hey, how many guardians are there anyway? Who's to say there
aren't more?"
While asking these questions, it was obvious hat the guardians
were never chosen at random and each one had their part. Zion
growled inwardly as this entire ordeal was rather infuriating.

Kira practically growled at Zion as he spoke AT Lita. As he
made light of her ability to protect the other girl the shadows
around her riled in anger. "I don't know who you are to make
assumptions about our ability to keep Lita safe. That is my
whole life. It'll be over my dead body. I'd advise you to at
least spend time to know of my abilities to do my job before
making rash sweeping comments. You are in my home and you
should not speak with such a tone.". Kira was usually good at
holding her temper. But this one was in her home speaking as if
she would outright fail at the whole purpose for her life, and
she was having none of it.

Zion's mouth opened and then shut. Kira had a point about this
being her home, and Zion didn't wish to disrespect that. "My
apologies." Zion said, a bit more quietly, glaring at the
carpet.

Lita looked between the two of them, a frown on her face at the
momentary disagreement. "It's okay Kira, I get it...I don't
really know how I feel about all this being thrust upon me
either." she said and looked to Zion "I'm not sure how many
there are but I can only assume it isn't that many, very few
names are written in the history books about Guardians when
speaking about the different Protectors throughout history. Miss
Queen would've been a better choice since she knows more about
this and everything, I've got no training or real skills." her
face suddenly brightened as she thought of something.
"Maybe that's it...maybe we should go try and speak with Miss
Queen. If anyone can give us a starting point she could." she
suggested hesitantly.
