       Our New Pope!

       Pope Francis I!
This man is so humble, he takes public transportation instead of
being chauffeured, cooks his own meals and lived in an
       apartment.
I am really looking forward to his first encyclical, can we read
       it Doug? Please!?!

I literally had just seen the article for the first time, and
then an alert told me this had been posted. :3

Pope Francis I seems to me to be extremely meek and humble. I
loved how he blessed Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI first and then
asked for the whole world to pray for him before giving his
first blessing. Did anyone else notice that he bowed the lowest
when the world prayed for him. Everyone else on the balcony
just tucked their heads, but he bent straight over?
       I really like him already.

@ James He was quite humble, and I pray he leads the Church in
the right direction, whatever it may be.
@Elise I was watching on a live stream, and as soon as he
stepped off the balcony I composed this thread. So you weren't
       too far behind. ;)

I prefer to save my viewpoints until I have seen him work, he
may be humble, but we do not know if he has any other qualities
       good or bad.

Father Kauffmann seems to like him. We shall see what happens
       in the next few years.

@Mary I would have to agree he might be humble but other than
that I don't know much about him. I hope and pray that he will
lead the Church down the path that God wants him to. But we
shall see. I will say that I like his stand on abortion at
least in principle. I am curious to see how he will follow
       through with his words.
@Aidan I don't know if it will take a few years to see what type
of leader he will be. Times like these good and bad qualities I
have a feeling will become revealed in a very short time. So
much is happening so fast that I think we will know what type of
leader Pope Francis will be sooner rather than later.

I guess you're right James. We shall see.
