(Earth Arc) On the Run (Again)

For the third time that week, Lilibeth Ambershard was going on
the run.
And she Really meant it, this time.
The moment she felt she could get away with it, she pulled on
her travelling clothes, grabbed her pre-prepared bag from where
she had buried it in the rose-garden, and, with a flick of her
wrist, opened a temporary gap in the Manor's walls, just long
enough for her to slip through, before it shut behind her.
Now, bag over her shoulder, looking down at the sprawling city
of Ba Sing Se from her family manor's lofty heights, she
grinned.
Sure, it wouldnt be long before she was caught, and dragged
home, but at least she could have fun exploring the city till
then, right?
Maybe she'd even make some new friends!
With an excited laugh, she leapt from the Manor walls, Bending a
piece of smooth stone to land on, and use as a board, as she
quickly slid down the curving walls towards the lower city, grin
wide, air streaming past her and blowing her short black hair
with it.
She gave one final woop of joy as she leapt off at the bottom,
the jump carrying her off her temporary board (which sunk back
into the stone as she did so), and into a quick roll, now
somewhere in a bustling street, none of the passerby's giving
her much attention at all.
Finally, she was free again!

As the sun was rising it was time for The Bat to vanish. Taking
a quick look to make sure no one was around he removed the red
tinted goggles from his mask revealing his blue eyes. Looking up
at the morning sun he yawns sitting on a roof top. "God another
all nighter and I only managed to scare the crap outta some
street punks." He yawned and held up his black cape to keep the
sun out of his eyes. He dropped the cape watching as the girl
slides down the upper ring using a slab board. "Creative" He
said with a smile as he headed to look down an empty back ally.
"Good to see even with the Dai Le breathing down our necks,
people still manage to have fun."
He dropped into the dark ally on the street below.

Tucking an outfit into his shoulder bag he changed into a black
pair of pants and a type of singlet top. He stretched and
yawned as walked out of the ally. "I've really gotta start
working shorter nights." He tells himself heading into the
street spinning a throwing star around his finger.

Grinning, Lillibeth worked her way through the tangled mess of
streets and allies of lower Ba Sing Se, headed.. nowhere in
particular, just keeping an eye out for interesting people, and
looking for something to buy for breakfast. Something good, and
unique!
Seeing a man walk past, carrying a ninja-star, she stopped,
turning, a look of curiosity on her face.
He certainly looked interesting!
Quickly turning and following him, she ran up till she was
beside him, and shot him a wide grin, not one for subtletly or
politness.
"Hey! Do I know you? You look familiar! And cool spinnyblade,
too!" She all but yelled at the latest [s]victim[/s] subject of
her curiosity.

He looked down to the sweet if somewhat creepy smiling girl.
Spinny blade ? he thought to himself realizing he still had one
out he. He quickly grabbed it and held it still. "Oh this old
thing it's nothing more than a fancy bottle opener." He lied
trying to throw her off. He smiled back seeing another friendly
face. "Maybe you know me from my books?" He asked with a smirk.

"Books? Oh! You're a writer! Uh.. what kind of books do you
write?" She asked, grinning, as she followed him, having
forgotten the spinnybottleopener, for now.

"Adventure novels mostly. Ever herd of nights atop rooftops in
Ba Sing Se. Or Blue blood the glass bending pirate?" Watching as
she followed he tried to remain friendly as sleep was wanting to
catch up with him.

"Adventure, eh? I like adventure! And no, sadly I havent read
those.. heard of em, though, but I'm not exactly the reading
type." Lilibeth said, grinning and following him throughout.
"Speaking of Adventure, I'm on one now! Know anywhere Fun I can
visit in the city?" She asked, beaming, and sticking close
behind him.

"Fun you ever tried getting hung over a tank of acid after
eating an entire sushi platter." He thought to himself
reflecting on the really stupid way people tried to kill him.
"Fun well Sleep is fun." He said trying not to trip over himself
now becoming sleepy.

"You okay there, Mister Writer? You look a lil sleepy! Maybe you
should have a sit down?" She asked, as happily as ever, slowing
her pace a little to remain by his side.
