Just how corrupt?

So just how corrupt is the British Parliament?
Yet another case today, over £700,000 paid out in "donations",
from a dubious source.
Expenses scandals, cash for questions, dubious donations,
moonlighting, dodgy contracts, bribes - it just goes on and on,
and on.

Pretty damn corrupt. I'm not sure that it's different from how
wealth and privilege operate in general, but it does seem
exceptionally bad at the moment.
It is also a highly unrepresentative form of government that we
have.

The UK needs to stop clinging onto 'tradition' that is well past
its sell-by date.
I like tradition as much as the next person, possibly more than
many, but we are starting to look more than a bit silly since we
pretend to be a modern country.
