-Israel has launched what it has called a preemptive strike
against Iran, a spokesperson for Israel's defense minister said.
-U.S. is participating in ongoing strikes on Iran with Israel,
U.S. official says.
-Retaliation is expected and Israel has declared a state of
emergency.
-Strike hit near offices of Iran's supreme leader.
-Iran, Israel both close airspaces.

Of the two nuclear powered aircraft carriers headed for this
conflict, USS Gerald Ford has a compliment of 4539, and the USS
Abraham Lincoln has 5680, and that's a lot of lives. How will
Iran react to this attack? If I was them I might try to sink
one or maybe both of those ships. Iran has hypersonic missiles,
and I'd be surprised if they aren't considering using them.

The US has apparently sunk an Iranian warship. I have to be
careful not to waste too much time keeping up with war news, but
there's so much happening! On Reddit and tik tok there's so
much misinformation it isn't even funny, and in the middle of
the night when I can't sleep it's daytime over there so I'm
either scrolling on my phone or at the computer. Lots has to be
checked, and some creators on tik tok get passed by immediately
because it's obvious their message is false.
"The U.S. Central Command, which is overseeing ongoing U.S.
attacks on Iran, said it sunk an Iranian Jamaran-class corvette
in the Gulf of Oman at a Chah Bahar pier."

Per CNN Israeli and American intelligence agencies had been
watching the supreme leader for months developing intelligence
within Iran and monitoring his daily patterns and were keeping
tabs on Iran’s senior political and military leaders as well and
seems that intelligence agencies learned that top Iranian
officials, including Khamenei would be meeting Saturday morning
and this was an opportunity the US and Israel decided was too
good to pass up.
Looks like 3 US military members have been killed so far and 5
seriously wounded.
Trump told reporters he expects this to last about 4 weeks.
(have to wait and see I guess.)

From CNN:
Iran will not negotiate with US.
Hezbollah has joined the fighting attacking an Israeli base,
Israel has vowed more strikes on Lebanon.
Explosions being heard in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha.
Pentagon briefers acknowledged to congressional staff that Iran
was NOT planning to strike US forces unless Israel attacked Iran
first, which undercuts the Trump administration’s claim of an
imminent threat as a reason to launch strikes.
The United Arab Emirates is covering meals and accommodations of
the tens of thousands of travelers stranded in the country. (at
least 20,000 people)
Kuwait intercepted “hostile drones” approaching the country via
“maritime routes,”
UK’s Ministry of Defence said it is responding to a suspected
drone strike at a British military base on the eastern
Mediterranean island of Cyprus.
Breaking reports coming in now that a US F-15 ‘Strike Eagle’
Fighter Jet Down in Kuwait and pilot was seen ejecting but as of
this post I have not found a reputable news article but there
are videos online, but these days I am not sure what is real vs
AI.

This will not end well.
There are more militant / radical leaders who may step in to
take Khomeini's place, which doesn't bode well for the US nor
any country that has taken part (even if only allowing a base to
be used).
The British Royal Air Force base in Cyprus was hit / bombed
(Iranian drones)
