the Taliban for months, sources say.

security officials for months to find a way to get Bagram Air
Base in Afghanistan back from the Taliban, three people familiar
with the matter told CNN."
“We gave it to (the Taliban) for nothing,” Trump said during a
joint press conference with UK Prime Minister Kier Starmer on
Thursday. “We’re trying to get it back, by the way.”
"Trump and his senior national security officials believe the
base is needed for several reasons, including to surveil China,
whose border is under 500 miles away; gain access to rare earth
elements and mining in Afghanistan; establish a counterterrorism
node to target ISIS; and possibly reopen a diplomatic facility,
the sources said. "

Trump is going to meet with Putin so he can get new
instructions, and Zelensky isn't happy about it. I'm hoping
pressure from the European allies pushes back enough to get air
defences delivered, but they're meeting in Budapest and Russian
bat boy Orban will be milking it to put his appeasement message
out as well.
If I tried to cross the border now with my phone I might wind
up in Equador, and I guess I'll never see my cousins in war-torn
Seattle again. On Jimmy Kimmel the other night, Kimmel
suggested that Trump may have seen footage of rioting in
Portland and Chicago from 2020 on Fox News and assumed it was
going on now, and that's why he thought he could get away with
sending the military in like it was a national emergency ...
Kimmel called him "Dum Dum" which made me smile.
Justin, given the politics in the US, are you happier you have
Canadian citizenship now, than you otherwise might be? Are you
a dual citizen?

With each passing day it's looks more likely that Trump and
Company are planning to use military action against Venezuela.
"The Trump Administration has made the decision to attack
military installations inside Venezuela and the strikes could
come at any moment, sources with knowledge of the situation told
the Miami Herald, as the U.S. prepares to initiate the next
stage of its campaign against the Soles drug cartel.
