Sometimes I open a news site and it's all just really bad news,
terrible things are happening all over and there just doesn't
seem to be any limit or relief, yet we manage to cope. Trump
might or might not be the worst thing happening in the world
right now, and maybe he even provides some dark comic relief to
other issues that threaten our existence, like climate change or
the poisoned oceans. No matter how much we as Canadians hate
Trump, imagine what it must be like for the Americans that
really love their country. Even after seeing what he did in his
first term, enough people stayed home and didn't vote so that he
to got in again. What the actual? Back on BE I advocated
hanging him and most of his family for treason from the middle
of the Skyway Bridge and live streaming it, and was roundly
criticised, but there was a legal basis for that charge, and by
stacking the Supreme Court and raw dogging the legal system he
managed to get away with everything, retaining power despite
convictions and impeachments. Now he wants to take military
control of Democrat majority cities and crush opposition. Trump
coined the phrase "shit hole countries" and that's what he's
turning the USA into. I can't see myself going to the states
again in my lifetime, and I'm just a short drive away.
