The fire near Ft. Nelson has come as close as 3km from the town.
BC Fire Service will provide an update later today on the fire,
and crews are preparing a last stand in the event the fire gets
close in an effort to prevent it from reaching the town.
3,500 people have been evacuated, there is limited
accommodations in the region but the province has opened an
accommodation site at Sunset Prairie with 200 rooms.
