Vehicle explosion closes some Canada-U.S. border crossings

"Multiple U.S. border crossings in Niagara Falls are closed
following a deadly vehicle explosion at Rainbow Bridge on
Wednesday and sources tell CTV News that Canadian government
officials are operating under the assumption that the incident
is terror-related."
Fatalities have been confirmed, how many killed is not yet
known.
Other border crossings in the region also closed including Peace
Bridge, the Whirlpool Bridge, as well as the Queenston-Lewiston
Bridge.

"Videos reviewed by authorities of the scene at the Rainbow
Bridge show the vehicle entering the bridge and then
accelerating at a high rate of speed, according to multiple law
enforcement sources familiar with the investigation."

Some reports indicating the only ones killed were the 2
occupants of the speeding vehicle that exploded.

I just saw that on Youtube and some sources aren't thinking
terrorism. It could have been some wannabe jihadis with a few
cans of gas or a bomb that didn't go off right, but might have
been a heart attack or an argument that escalated. Two suicide
bombers in the same car doesn't sound right, but you never know.
Edit; I take that back! The picture in the CTV article showing
the debris field sure looks like a bomb went off, but maybe not
with the same force we're used to seeing in the Middle East
where they level big markets and kill many people. It shouldn't
take long to find out what happened.

FBI is saying there is no indication it was a terror attack
based on their preliminary investigation so far.
"There are no indications of a threat of terrorism related to
the Rainbow Bridge incident Wednesday, FBI Special
Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia said at a news conference."
“We do not have any derogatory information on this person that
we’ve identified, we’re scanning his social media, there’s
nothing there, we’re still running a full investigation so
that’s a preliminary assessment," Miraglia said. “We feel, at
this point, this might be just something that occurred, there’s
no larger picture here to look at for now.”

And not a bomb.. I just can't be right about anything today! :D
The post said that a search "revealed no explosive materials"
and that investigators found no connections to terrorism."

Now the big question is, was the speeding intentional, was the
driver maybe drunk or did they get into an argument and the
driver decided to speed but lost control, or maybe the driver
had a medical emergency, it wouldn't be the first time someone
had a heart attack or stroke or something while driving and
their foot stays on the gas and they crash at a high rate of
speed.
The registered owner who may have been the driver is/was 56
years old, so a heart attack or stroke wouldn't be completely
out of this world, more likely in a 56 year old than a 26 year
old anyhow.

An eyewitness said he swerved to avoid a car before hitting the
fence and becoming airborne, so I think probably intentional,
unless his throttle stuck open somehow, not likely in a quality
car. Since the feebs say his social media has nothing
incriminating and he seemed normal, we may never know. Wouldn't
be the first time some fool has had an argument with his wife
and floored it to look big.

Police have released the identity of the 2 people in the car,
Kurt P. Villani and his wife Monica Villani both 53 years old.
Police are still investigating to try and determine who the
driver was.
They were the owners of Gui's Lumber which appears to be an Ace
Hardware affiliated store with several locations in NY state.
