"An officer looks at a screen showing a network of security
cameras from people's homes and businesses around the city,
which can be watched all at once, in real-time. They access
areas from which emergency calls come in, or scenes of crimes."

Doesn't "paid service" mean you would have to pay to have the
police monitor your security cameras? The alarm company at work
doesn't even have access to our cameras, separate entity. When I
get a security call re a breach in one or more zones at work, I
always ask them to wait while I check real-time camera to see if
there is anything or anyone that looks out of order.

If I visit friends.. do I want to be on camera? No.
It's one step closer to them watching in-house and in-business
cameras without a paid service... like the facial recognition
and the drones.

There's already a paid service run by a security company in this
area.
