I know it can be hard for people in other provinces to
understand just how bad healthcare is getting here.

A persons wife in Victoria posted about the poor care from the
surgeon, possibly an infected wound and the surgeon is ghosting
the patient.

"Dr. Paula Gordon, a clinical professor in UBC’s Department of
Radiology, says wait times for breast biopsies are
“unacceptable.”
“Of the biopsies I did this week, most of them were (waiting) in
the 12- to 13-week range,” she said.
CTV tried contacting the Ministry Of Health but were ignored,
which isn't surprising.

Hard to move to another place in BC due to the lack of doctors.
Can't move to a city or town without mental health access, can't
move somewhere that has no GP's accepting patients which pretty
much eliminates nearly every town and city in BC, very
frustrating how bad things have gotten.
My wife talk to the medical clinic in one town on the island,
all the doctors work from the same clinic, so just 1 clinic, not
accepting patients, and their wait list for a GP is 2,000 people
long, so basically means never getting a GP there.
They have a walk in clinic but the walk in clinic doesn't do
things related to disability so that is a no go, since
disability at times asks for a medical evaluation form to be
completed, something a walk in clinic wont do.

I am actually kind of concerned.
Since August I have had a tickle in my throat, kind of feels
like something is stuck there but there is nothing, figured it
was from acid reflux, flash forward to now, and now my voice is
raspy and hoarse and there is a feeling, well I wouldn't call it
pain, but kind of like something is there is the best I can
describe it, I also lost 11 pounds in a month and wasn't trying
to lose any weight, and haven't adjusted my diet so it's a
little odd that I lost 11 pounds in about a month without
trying.
I see the doctor tomorrow, also thinking about trying to get an
appointment in the US at an urgent care there for a 2nd opinion.
There is clearly red patches and some white patches on the back
of my throat that don't look normal and the red and white
patches are right around where I feel the tickle feeling.

Referral to a throat specialist. GP say's throat looks mostly
normal but there are a couple spots she wants the specialist to
check.
Got a prescription but it's not covered so wont fill it for now,
it's just a rx to reduce nasal drip nothing super important.
L has several lower back discs bulging, classified as mild, GP
wants weekly physio but at best we can maybe afford 1 or 2 per
month, even with $23 covered for the first 10 visits it's
pushing $100 per session.

Good to hear that your GP says your throat seems mostly normal -
good also that she is going to refer you.
Sorry to hear that L has back issues :(

ENT specialist appointment on October 23.
Way faster than I expected considering I have been waiting like
13 months now for a GI specialist appointment and still dont
have one.

Got an email today for the 4th COVID booster, it contains
protection for the Omicron variant as well which is super good.

Getting hard to talk my throat has something wrong, 26th can't
get here fast enough, I really want to make sure it's not like
cancer or something.
