StrepA is Scarlet Fever (and scarletina) - which I had as a
child.. it was very common back in the 50's.

MIL has lost 2 GP's in less than a year.
Her long time GP in Squamish closed his practice to concentrate
solely on cosmestic stuff like botox which makes more $$$ and
less work than a GP practice.
The replacement doctor gave notice today that he is relocating
to Kelowna because the cost of living is too high in Squamish.
Vancouver has a similiar issue, GP's leaving because of high
cost of living.
This time though the clinic has no replacement doctor and
telling patients they will be completely without a doctor as of
March 31st.

BC will be providing weekly flu updates of pediatric deaths
going forward.
There have been 6 youth deaths in BC so far this flu season
which is well above normal, in a typical year there are 5 to 6
youth deaths in the entire country, so to have 6 in just 1
province this early in the flu season is pretty high.

Kids seem to be getting flu and then also getting secondary
bacterial infections which are turning deadly.

I wonder if this report shows any relevance to the increase in

Yes.
There are some interesting papers/research on the increase of
secondary bacterial infections, since covid / covid
vaccinations.

“And the only expense that is growing at five, six, seven per
cent a year is health care because of the impact of the aging
population, so it doesn’t make sense,” he said.

22 per cent of the financing while they receive 40 per cent of
revenues.”
