One company in New York sold their entire inventory of 15
million tablets in just a few days last month, February 23
through February 28 seeing the largest orders.
The company says in addition to individials buying they saw an
increase in orders from hospitals, municipalities and government
       agencies as well.
Apparently China has conveyed an interest in assisting Russia
financially and with military aide with the US & China
representitives having what was described as an intense 7 hour
meeting in Rome with the US top aide telling China there would
be "potential implications and consequences" if they choose to
       help Russia.
In other news the retired USS Kittyhwak will be making it's
final trip from Washington state to Texas to be scrapped, too
big to go through the Panama Canal it has to go down the coast
of the US, Mexico, around South America, then up into the Gulf
of Mexico, some 16,000 miles, it was sold for less than a
dollar, although I will assume it costs a pretty penny to
relocate a ship of that size 16,000 miles.

791 medical graduates could miss out on NHS junior doctor
       training
  HTML https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/mar/15/791-medical-graduates-could-miss-out-on-nhs-junior-doctor-training
Highest ever number of medical students have been told there are
no places for them this year
       --- Quote ---
       > Almost 800 medical graduates could be denied the chance to
train as doctors in the NHS this year, despite the health
       service’s crippling shortage of medics.
       >
       > A total of 791 medical undergraduates who have applied to
start training as junior doctors at the start of August have
been told there are no places for them – the highest number
       ever.
       >
       > The risk that young would-be doctors may not be allocated to
start their training at a hospital in the UK has sparked concern
among the medical students affected, as well as medical
       organisations.
       >
       > Pressure is growing for action to close the gap between the
number of training places available across the NHS and the
number of graduates seeking one, so medical talent is not wasted
and hospitals hire as many fresh recruits as they can to help
tackle the widespread lack of medics.

I'm Brisbane (Queensland) and Spouse is Western Australia.
Major flooding in parts of Brisbane, as well as across other
areas of the south east of Queensland, similar to that in New
South Wales. As I work in the centre that coordinates the
response to natural disasters in Queensland my team and I are
currently flat out at work, not been this bad since 2011. Hence
my virtual disappearance from the forum for a while, even news
like that coming out of Ukraine is almost on the backburner
       unfortunately.
Personally though my place is fine -I live at the top of a hill,
the walk up it to get home is a pain but at least its well above
       any flood line.
So many heartbreaking stories coming out of the disaster,
thousands of homes inundated, many up to their rooftops.

Today, the weather is the news. Wizards predict a major
snowstorm rolling up from the States and passing right through
the guts of Canada, ha ha, like we haven't seen snow before.
Worst one in 30 years maybe... wait what? So far Regina seems
to be on the edge of where they think it will be (started
snowing a bit last night) and sometimes we don't get the brunt
of the storm. And sometimes we do.

While the war rages on in Ukraine, the US and Russia managed to
       exchange a couple of prisoners:
"US and Russian officials confirmed on Wednesday that Trevor
Reed is on his way back to the US.
In exchange, Russia's foreign ministry secured the release of
Konstantin Yaroshenko, a Russian national jailed on drug
       smuggling charges."
I looked at RT and there is no mention of it yet, which seems
odd since they've been posting articles about how Yaroshenko is
an innocent victim of American dirty tricks ever since he was
       arrested.
