Sometimes it's nice to be able to post something that doesn't
really warrant a whole thread to itself, so this thread is my
suggestion for that.
Glad to see that the RSPCA is charging this woman. (It's the
horse-kicking, horse-hitting, woman.)

better still that she's lost her job, been thrown off a
commitee, ec., etc.
What kind of person does such things to an animal?

Wow! If you can't control your temper and you start kicking and
slapping your horse then you definitely need to be fired
from working with children.

I had no idea that the RSPCA had such powers of prosecution. I
thought they were just a charity.
Edit after Googling, seems private prosecutions are a thing, and
that's what they do.

But the penalties are fairly toothless..... the adverse
publicity is the main point.

People usually get banned from keeping animals for serious
offences. I'd like to see that in this case too.

I think it's a common penalty, for a defined time or for life,
but I don't know how well it is or can be enforced.... "It's not
my Dog, I'm looking after it for a friend".
How do you force people to act like sentient beings?
