US targetting sanctions to 22 Russian “defense-related
       entities”.
US imposing export controls on Belarus which will prevent them
from being able to import key technologies.
US nuclear command and control aircraft have increased their
number of daily flights since the invasion & commander of US
Strategic Command is staying in Omaha, Nebraska so he can
“assess and be satisfied in terms of our defensive posture.”
US has a portion of their ballistic missiles under a state of
heightened alert currently to respond to any attack within
       minutes.
EU plans to take measures to try and prevent Russia from
       accessing cryptocurrencies to bypass sanctions.
US not prepared to place sanctions on Russian oil and gas due to
       issues it would cause domestically.
Ukraine wants Russia severed from the global internet, but
experts warn it's a bad idea and would be giving Russia want
it's wants, a citizenry unable to access outside information.
not clear that ICANN could do this even if they wanted to.

So the US demands other countries apply sanctions, but declines
       to to follow suit.
"Do as I say, not as I do".

That reddit video saver thing is worthless, oh well. There are
a lot of rumours flying around like does Putin have cancer, does
he have Parkinson's, why does everyone have to be so far away,
are there bizarre disinfecting protocols for visitors and staff,
is he on steroids, and so on. The Russian soldiers they show
captured from the push from the north may look like lost kids,
but the Black Sea Fleet Marines that came in on the water had
battle plans with them that showed the plan for their assault
       was approved on January 18.

These are purported to be companies that have pulled out of
Russia because of the war on Ukraine:
They probably have their own knock-off Adidas, but the real
thing is going to be worth a fortune there.

I'm not a college educated chap so maybe someone else can
enlighten me, 'cos I'm proper stumped. What kind of 'special'
(yes, I do mean in the non-PC sense) do you have to be to the
moron shelling a nuclear plant? I mean, ICBM operator is
probably fairly safe but grunt on the ground with eyeball on the
plant and finger on the mortar launcher? I smell a Darwin award
       recipient coming up. FFS.

Russia just seems to be hitting whatever, the plan seems to be
now to just bomb and hope Ukraine surrenders?
Guess we better just hope the fire doesn't cause a meltdown.
The International Atomic Energy Agency has put its emergency
       response center in 24/7 mode.
Whatever Putin's plan is, it really doesn't seem well planned.
Unless this is some method for Putin to nuclear an area without
using a nuclear weapon, hit power plants and cause a meltdown.

It sounds like a little hysterical propaganda about the nuclear
plant.... the building on fire was outside the site. I think
Russia have now seized the plant and may have it in mind to cut
power from Ukraine and force a surrender.... there seems to be a
ceoncerted effort to capture or destroy such infrastructure.
The plan seems to be to cut off the Ukrainians on the Donbas
front by driving north and south behind them, plus removing Kyiv
from the chessboard. In addition, the moves east and west on the
Black sea will cut Ukraine off from the sea, negate the
Ukrainian navy and link Donbas with Transnistria to link all the
Russia-leaning areas. I can also see the demand for a corridor
to Kaliningrad in the offing as part of any "negotiations".

Do you think the scenario we discussed a while back (seizing the
oblasts east of the Dnieper) will be the end game or will Russia
take the whole lot? Personally I fear the latter.
